Re: Vale of tiers: Port Vale (H), Division Four, Sat 6 Dec @ 3pm

The point I'm making Insano, is Crawford is a popular target. Despite what we've just seen, people still picking out Crawford as today's problem? There were much bigger problems today than Crawford. Worthy, Crawford is talented and should be the best midfielder in the league by some distance but he...

Re: Vale of tiers: Port Vale (H), Division Four, Sat 6 Dec @ 3pm

BWFCI one of our best box to box all round quality midfielders was Per Frandsen IMO. We are crying out for a Per Frandsen / Jason McAteer 'type' midfielder.

Re: Vale of tiers: Port Vale (H), Division Four, Sat 6 Dec @ 3pm

As I said we are just so lightweight & powderpuff (not sure if that is the right word) in midfield, we really do need a couple or at least one 'nasty type' midfielder who can fight & scrap. I get the impression that an opposing player could just say boo & our existing midfielders would run a mile. I...

Very good open & honest post match interview from Ian Evatt, I really do like this guy, its just a pity that some of the players don't share or have the same passion. He will get this right whether its this season or next.

Great post match interview that Ian Evatt.

Re: Vale of tiers: Port Vale (H), Division Four, Sat 6 Dec @ 3pm

A freak result that today absolutely no need for the fans to panic IMO, it was just so surprising & unexpected after such a great November perhaps they turned up thinking they would win the game easily - but admittedly it was a shocking performance defensively. I thought Port Vale's manager complete...

Fantastic & well deserved 3 points and a decent performance, Fonz needed to improve after a poor 1st half and he did just that - Tutte was outstanding along with Santos & Baptiste and most if not all played well.

Gilks has made a big difference.

Re: Sal-Destroying. Home. Friday 13th. 7:45. On the tele.

Santos and Tutte both outstanding. Gilks clearly made a difference at the back. Proper Captain's performance from Sarce. Jones and Kioso impressive also. We didn't have an awful lot of the ball in the 2nd half, but I never really felt like we were in danger. Superb! I agree with this 100%, we never...

Re: Sal-Destroying. Home. Friday 13th. 7:45. On the tele.

Biggest game of the season though, that's how far we've fallen. Out of all cups first attempt. Playing promotion favourites at home and we're the underdogs. I see why the comment irritated you, and there may be some devilment in it, but we are a tragic mess right now, with no immediate prospect of ...

Re: Sal-Destroying. Home. Friday 13th. 7:45. On the tele.

The below quote comes from our esteemed manager: “Tutte is a very good communicator, sees danger in a defensive role better than the others do . Whereas Tom White will probably receive the ball from the back and build attacks better than Tutte – but that’s not to say he can’t do that." What the fec...

Re: Sal-Destroying. Home. Friday 13th. 7:45. On the tele.

Seems odd that Sarcevic played in the cup if he was carrying an injury. I reckon he might play. It certainly does - I'm sure that Evatt mentioned after the Crewe FA Cup game that Sarcevic had been having back problems - therefore why did Evatt play him knowing that the Salford game is more importan...

Re: Sal-Destroying. Home. Friday 13th. 7:45. On the tele.

It just shows you how far we have fallen in such a short period of time that I would take a draw at home against Salford, which would be a decent result IMO, but we would have to score 1st to have any chance of a draw. However, I actually expect to lose 3-1, or possibly even 4-1 as they will shoot f...

Who'd taken Aiden Davidson or Kevin Poole right now?
I would rather have Jim Davidson in goal than Crellin.

Re: All change at Crewe....

How poor were both Crellin & White yesterday, and Baptiste & Gordon not much better. Why does Evatt continue playing the same very poor players, surely he sees the same as the supporters ? Also, why does every team we play look much fitter, press more & generally look sharper & more spirited than we...

Re: Growing a pair at the UniBol. Man(up)sfield at home. Tuesday 3rd Nov 7pm.

I'm absolutely baffled by Evatt's post match comment that Mansfield have a budget twice as much as ours - how can that possibly be ?

They are either breaking the salary cap substantially or we are penny pinching and are nowhere the salary cap limit.

Re: Tobias Phoenix

I seem to recall at the time of his appointment that he has no previous experience of any similar director of football position, apart from a spell at Macclesfield and that he was actually a football agent prior to this, but I could be wrong. I have absolutely no idea why & on what basis FV employed...

Re: We three kings of Orient (A)re. Saturday 31 @ 15:00

It’s not me saying the players aren’t running or just can’t be bothered. It’s more there is zero team spirit. I don’t see a lot of fight. I agree with BWFCI on this, there does generally appear to be a lack of team spirit and there is definitely a lack of fight all over the pitch, the players don't...

Re: We three kings of Orient (A)re. Saturday 31 @ 15:00

Tactics and formations can definitely be over thought but I'm not having it that these players dont want to work hard or work for each other. Some of them clearly aren't good enough and almost all of them, aren't clear on what their specific job is. That's down to Evatt and Phoenix. Spot on HG It w...

Re: We three kings of Orient (A)re. Saturday 31 @ 15:00

Crellin is conceding half of the shots on target. He’s a big fecking problem. Yes almost every shot on goal goes in - Crellin isn't even NW Counties level, we may as well play 11 outfield players and just stick a cone between the posts - as I've said I like Evatt and want him to succeed but his jud...
