Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?

Phil Parkinson could be a good shout. Bradford just been taken over
by German owners, might have new ideas?

He's spent the last two years in our new division.

Didn't they score the winner at around 5 o'clock at their place as well? ☹

Re: What are you reading tonight?

Jon Krakauer - Into Thin Air. First hand account of the Everest Disaster of 1996 when 9 people died. Harrowing stuff but a brilliant read. Really gets into the mindset of the 'Because its there' fraternity. Tis a good book but worth reading Anatoli Boukreev's (sp?) book that tells the alternative v...

Re: Sammy Lee's Bolton v Peter Puppies' City... The Match Th

Interesting to hear LSL comments in the week - he wants the crowd to be our 12th man. Cliche of course but is he saying the support has been quiet this season by not saying it?! There hasn't been many positives to take lately Sammy. Fingers crossed that the BWFC boot room can begin our assault on th...

Re: What are you reading tonight?

A few recent recommendations. Stephen King - 11.22.63. A bloke travels back in time and has to work out if Lee Harvey Oswald killed JFK on his own and stop him. More thriller than horror and a bit far fetched! :D but i really enjoyed it. Jon Krakauer - Into Thin Air. First hand account of the Everes...

Re: BOLTON v THE PIE MEN

After about 40 mins the old man turned to me and said 'I can't believe what i'm watching here'. I didn't know what to say! Hanging on for half time at home against wigan. We made them look like barcelona. The thing is though I could see this result coming. As soon as I heard the team news my heart s...

Re: Wanderers Vs Man U

I was half hoping we didn't score a consolation. Couldn't have stomached a blast of 'I just can't get enough' if they had played it.

Re: Wanderers v Blackpool

Apologies if this has been mentioned before but after welcoming back a great midfield servant last week in Nolan, tomorrow sees the return of Steve Thompson (Holloway's right hand man) who was the driving force in the BWFC midfield when I started watching them in the late 80's. I remember him being ...

Well 1% of us want Paul Jewell & thats about how many wanted Megson, so maybe thats where the smart money is!

Peter Reid's odds tumbling is a worry, Gartside may appoint him to try and appease the fans with the bolton connection but I think he's a yesterday's man.

Hughes or Curbishley for me (asap)

He should've left 10 years ago, IMO. Yeah mine too. Should've split up after Whats the Story, would have finished with 2 out of 2 great albums instead of 2 out of 7! Not as much money though i suppose. Actually Steve Lamacq was on about this on his show a few weeks ago, he couldn't think of any ban...

Latest England Squad

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 229098.stm

For anyone who is interested. Cahill misses out as Wes Brown comes back in. Read somewhere last week that Cahill thought he would be in this squad so bad news for him and BWFC i suppose. Past caring about England myself. :|

Actually Steve Lamacq was on about this on his show a few weeks ago, he couldn't think of any band that had produced 3 great albums in a row. Whilst I'm prepared to debate the three 'great Oasis' LPs another day... I suggest SFA as a band who have managed the same feat, presuming we're talking abou...

Interesting to hear Warney chirping about Bopara in his column this week. For some reason hes got him in his sights, after saying that he is too bothered about how he looks before the start of the series, he has now said hes 1 bad test away from being dropped.
