Re: Lennon out!
I cannot believe this guy has lasted as long as he has! When he first arrived he played players in their correct positions and seemed to improve a few who had previously been average. Over the last few months he suddenly thinks that a winger can play up front 2 central midfielders can play on the wi...

Re: Chim-Chim-Che-Roo ...We Hate The Bastards In Claret And
If this was near the beginning of the season I would be encouraged. If we had a manager that can see what is need even at this late stage I would be encouraged. Unfortunately it is the last part of the season and we have a tactically inept manager! We were on top for most of the first half and start...

Madine and Heskey back to make probably the slowest and most unproductive forward line in our history! I can only see a crushing defeat and I for one will be having a lot of scoops pre game just to pluck up the courage and watch the predicted farce!
However, COYWM!!

Re: Get out of Jail Free..Birmingham away 23-02-2016
Amos is out with an ankle injury sustained on Saturday and Madine has a groin problem and I believe Heskey is also out with a groin injury. Rachubka did not really shine last time Amos was out but we will have to wiat and see, looks like he will have to play young Cloughie up from on his jack or pla...

Re: Sports Shield - New Owners (Probably)
Can't say I am overly optomistic about the takeover, yes they stopped us going into Administration, it is what will happen next which worries me. The talk of share options (which I understand to be loans secured against the assets, but maybe wrong) we may never find out the finer points of the deal....

I used to think we could win any match even when we used to play Man U I thought we have a chance. Nowadays I don't expect anything but defeat especially away from home! Therefore, I am predicting we won't get a clean sheet, and won't score more than the other lot. Best I can hope for is a draw!

Re: New Owners, Lennon goes, who do you think want to replac
Firstly what make you think we will now be able to afford to sack a manager the incoming owners are obviously not loaded otherwise Eddie would have sold to them back in December (maybe wrong). When they first turned up they were going to use the stadium for concerts etc to raise money these people a...

Re: I'd Rother be enamoured of our Neil... Rotherham (H) 6/2
Today we were absolutely terrible as soon as woolery came on we were a different team we have to show more faith in the kids going forward as they seem more up for it than the first team failures! Spearing MOM for me at least he showed a bit of fight we have been missing from late. Heskey and Patele...

Re: Golden Days
In these dark times a bit of pointless nostalgia is called for. A friend sent me this link to one of the greatest games of football ever. Bring on your own memories as well. We need cheering up. "Bolton v Newcastle, FA Cup 5th Round, 14th February 1976" on YouTube https://youtu.be/-1GF5arqwqo" oncl...

Re: The breaking News thread...
I went on holiday 3 weeks ago and everything looked a lot brighter, being out of the country I have not kept up with developments. So I was amazed when I saw the news we could be in administration by the end of the week!! We are already being asset stripped, making us less of an attractive buy! I am...

The weather forecast predicts Heavy Rain so that should set the scene for a miserable day, I am predicticing another battling draw! I feel like I will need plenty of scoops before this match! COYWM (Did not think I would see the spectre of administration again in my lifetime, last time we ended up w...

Re: Bristol City (H) 7.11.15
I seem to remember in the dark days of the 1980s that Bristol City were a bit of a bogey team for us, therefore, I am not holding out much hope for a result in our favour. They have a striker who has scored nearly 3 times as many as our top striker (which is amazingly Liam Feeney with 3). I am hopin...

Re: Question about a fan takeover
We would end up having 10 managers a season as nobody is happy with the manager for more than a few months at a time! I know it worked for Watford last season but they had buckets and buckets of money!

Re: Evans knows I'm miserable now - Leeds (H) 24/Oct/15
What can we expect today? Who knows I have seen us play well and lose play badly and lose and play average and win, also play absolutely awful and draw. Leeds have been as inconsistent as us this season but have the fillup of a new manager, they got a good away draw during the week so will not be an...

Re: Bedsheets, Pitchforks and colours nailed etc.
I am confused what Bolton Fans as a body want? Maybe we don't all want the same thing. Maybe some don't know what they want. But I'm sure we all want it to improve. Even the professional grumblers who only appear when the team's doing badly. Said before, several times: I hope Lennon can turn it rou...

Re: Bedsheets, Pitchforks and colours nailed etc.
To all who replied what do you want us to do sack Lennon and then wait to see who would take the job probably nobody better, rinse and repeat i think somebody said. Spend lots of money we do not have, go bust and start again in the National 3 bob league. We are stuck in an unpleasant place, so of yo...

OK so now you are all annoying me and I have a moment sapre at work so I am going throw in my pennysworth for what it is worth. When lennon took over only 12 months ago everybody seemed to think (not just Gartside) that it was a good appointment, hindsight is always going to be clearer that at the m...

Re: Dobbie Does Dingles - Rovers (A) 28/08/15
I think overall I am very happy with a point the referee was a shocker he let Blackburn kick us off the park and penalised any form of Bolton aggression. I thought Danns had his best game in a Bolton shirt and Davies did well at both defending and attacking. Good to see he is giving Clough time to w...

Re: Might we see some wood for the trees? - Forest (H) 22/08
I was pleased with the way we played on Saturday if the penalty goes in we would have gone on to win easily. We were in total control of the game leading up to the penalty! After the miss I thought we lost our composure and you could almost see the confidence drain from both players and fans alike. ...

Re: Might we see some wood for the trees? - Forest (H) 22/08
The return on Dougie the deluded, the return of Big Screen? and potentially our first goals of the season makes for a good day out in my book (yes I don't get out much!). I am hoping Silva gives it some welly and makes DF looking green with envy, or Clough jinks round 4 players and slots the ball ho...
