Goal line clearance. It's an improvement at least. Still not sure it counts as a shot on target as it more hit our player than us attacking it.

Still don't think we've had a shot on target.

Urgh. Gilks mistake makes it 1-0. Good keeper and this is a rarity thankfully but still we should be doing better than this. Hopefully this is a boot up the arse.

Re: An age to start a match thread? Stevenage, home, Saturday 13/2/21 @ 3pm
We’ve only had one penalty as well - the players we have now who can hit the box I’d be looking at winning more of those. Seem to have had a few against as per. It does feel like there is something up - refs siding with the underdog perhaps? Possibly, but when we first got relegated from the prem w...

Re: Is football not a man's field? Away @ the Stags 26th Jan 2021
Possibly the best 1-11 half I've seen this season. How refreshing it is to get to H-T and there isn't a single finger being pointed at any one player. Seems like an issue tactically to me that we're not ahead yet. Any time we get the ball forward we're looking like Doyle's left on his own. Seems li...

Gilks being injured for the rest of the match would definitely be an interesting spectacle. These sort of incidents go into folklore.
Don't want him to be injured but it would make things interesting.

Re: Is football not a man's field? Away @ the Stags 26th Jan 2021
That was probably a pen for them. Certainly looked like he caught the feet of the opponent. Given we didn't get one previously the referee may have just been trying to be consistent. Mansfield playing some lovely stuff here. Pitch looks shocking. I would suspect that given all the overturned red ca...

Re: Help on signatures
Nice one. Dumb question, which ones are you thinking of for Banks and Poole? Not a dumb question. Was simply going through the list using players from that era in google, so 'Signed Banks Bolton Shirt' or something to that affect in order to help restrict the pool of players to a smaller pool. In t...

Wow. Almost a carbon copy of last match with the red card, equaliser and Baptiste getting beaten to the ball. Thankfully they've missed the chance and hopefully we can see this out for the win now.

Re: An age to start a match thread? Stevenage, home, Saturday 13/2/21 @ 3pm
We should've had this wrapped up much earlier. I get the feeling that we're rushing the ball from midfield to attack. FFS another red card. Ridiculous challenge yet again! Looks like he's took a good lunge into the opposition player. Not sure its red card worthy but definitely clumsy. He's attemptin...

Re: An age to start a match thread? Stevenage, home, Saturday 13/2/21 @ 3pm
Maddison thus far has not impressed. He's had that one shot early on which if it was on target we'd been saying something quite different. For me he's looked lively and tried a lot of forward balls which haven't yet come off. I suspect he's gonna be frustrating but possibly the only one whose likel...

Re: An age to start a match thread? Stevenage, home, Saturday 13/2/21 @ 3pm
Don’t want to belabour the point, but MJ looks like a competition winner. He's been busy in the game. Looks uncertain at times but he's definitely covering a decent amount of the pitch. Maddison with a bit of play acting there. About time we had someone that made the referee have to make some diffi...

No keeper on the bench. Wonder how demoralising this is for our backup goalkeepers that there is no chance of coming on.
Some lovely attacking stuff by Bolton here, plenty of possession and passing with intent as well, great stuff.
