Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

I suspect he’s a year too old and too much a Hudds man by mutual Hogg is the sort of player we need in that defensive midfield role. Well, he's carried on playing - 34 lge appearances this season, 34 last season, after 30, 31, 37 and 37. He's not exactly the towering monster but he's definitely a g...

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

Koroma's a name that stands out. I guess the difficulty is I think we get the best out of Collins by playing him wide left, which seems to also be where Koroma is most comfortable. I'd be happy if we were checking out Koroma. Though that being said, there must've been a reason they're parting compa...

Re: Pointing the way. Stevenage at home Sat, 3rd May 3-0'clock

Collins POTY Numbers game victory for Collins. 24 goal involvements in 55 games. Beats Dion Charles' 22 in 44 from the season prior and 23 in 52 the season before that. Difference being that Collins' record doesn't surpass Charles' record in the league (12 goals for Collins, Charles had 16 and 14)....

JDC and it’s not close.

Can we have one for worst of the season?
Go for it (but not on this thread)
Also known as the Kion Etete award.

Re: 'None of the above': Who's your player of the year 2024/25?

Two contenders for me. JDC and Morley. JDC edges it as Morleys only been here for half a season, although that's no fault of his own. Thomason deserves a nod being the newbie captain and still delivering good effort levels despite not being at his best. Everyone else has played well in moments and ...

Re: Pointing the way. Stevenage at home Sat, 3rd May 3-0'clock

I dunno. I just think Schon regularly makes the wrong decision. And it's not just him - we're constantly cutting inside and thus walking into the defensive wall you mention. Just seen the early chances replayed and Stevenage have wised up a lot since then. We might see that next season but right no...

Aaron Collins will not get 20. There I've said it Aaron.
Is 20 the contract extension confirmed? Maybe he doesn't want twenty given how he's been playing

Re: Pointing the way. Stevenage at home Sat, 3rd May 3-0'clock

Got a big jump on him too, for a little un does Szabi, fancy him to get a couple of Stelios like headers at the back stick. I'd like to like him (and we definitely have less likeable players) but I remain to be convinced. Not the first priority though... Effort levels are there from Schon this seas...

Re: Pointing the way. Stevenage at home Sat, 3rd May 3-0'clock

Forino might be on his way according to talk in the ground. We will see. Guess it’s natural for these rumours following non inclusion - which may well be nonsense. A sellable asset. Probably sounds about right we cash in to fund transfers. He stays then possible captain. We don't benefit from playi...

Re: Pointing the way. Stevenage at home Sat, 3rd May 3-0'clock

I hope we can signoff with a win. Cogley and Johnson back for this one but I would not throw both in given how well Inwood did. One change to the starting lineup for me. Cogley replacing Jones who should be brought on later in the game for his farewell. I can see the sense in all that, but it depen...

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

Looking at this thread I'm feeling a bit sorry for Lolos. He was signed as a player with potential and not the done deal so to see him get the Nlundulu treatment is a bit of a shame. I don't think he'll be around after having departed Schueys company previously. Still he's better than Etete and Nlun...

So much positivity in the rest of the teams playing for the club. Hopefully that'll set a better tone for next season.

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

I for one dont see Baxter as being much better than Southwood who is a decent L1 keeper. Right now, Baxter would not be my choice in goal. He has had a poor season and is not often fit. I would probably offer him a contract on much lower wages. If he doesn't accept, we thank him and look for a repl...

Re: To be or not to Be? . ..Away to Peterborough, Sat 26th Apr. 3-0'clock.

What a job Parky has done at Wrexham. Came to Wrexham a year after Evatt joined us. Non league. Now will be in the championship. An absolutely superb manager and one Evatt isn’t fit to lick the bottom of the boots of. His side have to be what we try and emulate next season. You have to be physical,...

Re: To be or not to Be? . ..Away to Peterborough, Sat 26th Apr. 3-0'clock.

Well, we stop our successive losses and get a draw.

Referee's inability to play fair again the game changer. Two penalties for them, disallowed goal and a not given penalty for us.

It's better.

Inwood can get the MOTM for me. Didn't look out of place.

So unlucky for McAtee that. We deserve a second here.
