Re: The athletics/running thread

Done mine. Commandeered the mat after helping my daughter practice her backwards walkover. Perhaps backwards walkovers could be next months ‘challenge’? 🤔 Backwards walkovers? That’s another one you’re gonna have to talk me through. Done mine and a 3.5 mile run. https://tenor.com/view/walkover-back...

Re: Where are you going tonight?

Went out on a walk with my mum tonight for the first time in ages. We were walking my dogs down the village high street (one each) as I had picked up a hose from a friends garden and was carrying that too and had just turned a very narrow corner (old village pavements a few feet across or non exist...

Re: The athletics/running thread

Think they realised they f*ck up your back so recommend crunches instead now. I did the squats today at the end of a 15 mins out and then 14.15 back (I think there's a name for that but..) would've been just over 6k. Involved 2 laps around the Emirates. Very quiet. Just like a match day then? 🤔 Won...

Re: The athletics/running thread

Struggled to do 2 sit ups, You Sir, are a God! Tell me they weren't consecutive... After a few weeks feeling shite, managed 3k yesterday and 4k today, so far. Well done, now you’re on the mend Worthy you’ve no excuse for showing BP how sit ups should be done. Join us! After a YouTube tutorial I’ve ...

Re: The athletics/running thread

Just done the first lot here now, with wet hair too, after a shower, and it’s not been cut since 2019 which I like to think means I did day 1 with weights 💪🏼😎 as it’s flipping long and heavy.

Day one done, splitting in half a gentle and rather pleasant 35 min jog to Regent's Park and back. Back of the knee still a tad delicate but spirits are bright.
Good stuff, glad no bad reaction on the knee

Re: The athletics/running thread

So after BP smashed his target (errr) for February, I feel like setting one for March. My core really needs some work! The superman that is GtE has said he will join me in this. Anyone else fancy giving it a go? Yep, I'll give it a go. No Errr, perhaps we should fit a little more running in, too. ;...

Re: The athletics/running thread

Squats done, but feck me! Didn’t realise just how unfit I am. Struggled to do 2 sit ups, but putting that down to poor facilities and preparation. 😬 Lay on the bathroom floor in bare feet, with one foot up against the wall and the other on the door. Had to get up quick, as I was being approached by...

Re: General Chit Chat

I've quite enjoyed going to the odd non League game and will again when possible. I never watch any premier League or European football though. Hold a passing interest in who is doing what but never sit through it. Have you always been that way LE or has it changed over time? Were you a little foot...

Re: The athletics/running thread

Ah, right. So it’s one or t’other between sit ups and crunches. Didn’t notice that at first glance. I’ll give it a go. I’m not going to strengthen my core by doing 2 x 5k runs that I usually skip anyway! If it helps my glass back, then it has to be worth the effort. Thanks for posting! Oooh, good po...
