Well done Bruce and BP. Plodded round a slow 3.5 miles here today after skiving off last week.

Re: The athletics/running thread

Weren't you living in a desert? Bit of a weather change then. Which do you prefer? Yes, I was in a deserty bit of Dubai for 6 years. I'd say 90% of the time I prefer the weather here on Skye. I'm lucky that we have our own micro climate in my village which means we generally don't get as cold. We'r...

Re: The athletics/running thread

Every time you comment on this thread AT, I think you might have gone for a run!

Have you had much snow? I’m currently snow jealous of everyone. We had just a sprinkling down here in the very south. Weather cold enough to put me off a run this week though.

We’ve just started watching ‘It’s a sin’. I was a little kid in the 1980’s so most of what it’s based on passed me by. An interesting and eye opening drama which I suspect may have me in tears by the end of it.
Still watching. Episode 3 heartbreaking. Anyone else seen it?

How you feeling Worthy?

Nice wagon wheel LE? Mr GG thinks they are better without jam. He’s a strange one.

Done sod all this week. Due to run this evening but supposed to be -10 tonight here so we sacked it off.

Re: Diving Arsenal Players - The Least Shocking Admission Ever

That was the year before I started going to Highbury regularly. I remember it though. You had some good players in those days. McGinlay, Mcateer, Stubbs etc. Used to often beat us. Bit of a bogey team at one point iirc.

Re: The athletics/running thread

Reckon 5k over February is a doable challenge. It’s a short month though. I’ll join you (virtually) BP. Aye. I’m sure you’ll somehow manage 5k between now and the 28th. 😉 Just done 4 miles actually. 8) What’s that in Km? 6.5 more then you’ve done?! Alright, Paula Radcliffe! We’ll see where we are a...

Re: The athletics/running thread

Thought I'd lump in on this one, seeing as I'm a local again. Scratch me up for 7.5 miles tonight. Had a bit of a do on Saturday. Was running up COR from Horwich and the cold air irritated my throat so badly I had a coughing fit. Started spitting blood but carried on up George's Lane and back home....

Not at all. It's just a ruse. Growing cows to provide steak is fine. ;-) If you ate less steak you probably wouldn’t need to walk as much. 🤔 Anyway, there’s a vacancy going now for an elderly walker, hero and fundraiser. I could see you stepping into Sir Tom’s (RIP) shoes... I'd need more condition...

Re: Tonight's Football

Had a rubbish few days, was really hoping Arsenal might cheer me up tonight but no. That was bloody awful. Think it’s fair to say that from now on, as a general rule, Arsenal should probably stop buying Brazilian Chelsea rejects with big hair. Next game. Villa away where no doubt Emi Martinez ...
