I didn't know much about them other than a few tracks on the radio but they sounded like one of the types of music I like (Southern Rock with a Blues twist). I was very pleasantly surprised. Not just with t...

Re: The athletics/running thread

Accidentally ran 10 miles yesterday. I've started running with some of my tri group on Wednesday evenings. Our usual run leader didn't make it so I was asked if I knew a route. Suggested that we do a loop which (in my head) was about 6 miles. Started from the stadium and ran down CNR to Regent Road ...

Biggest supported club in the 4th division

Morning, can't see a thread anywhere else so thought I'd start this thread.

WTF is happening at Manchester City? Are they set to do a Juventus?

Will it pretty much gift the Premier League title to Arsenal?

We are still missing large swathes of the community, though. This. Absolutely. 100% The guy I sit next to teaches at a primary school with a predominantly Asian intake who, he says, feel somewhat ostracised when it comes to football. How? Why? This is utterly ridiculous! Do you think a large part of...

Re: Tonight's Football

Spare a thought for Everton tonight. Bottom three. Just sold their best player. Only club in top flight to make no signings in January. Pretty dire stuff. Doesn’t look like they are getting anyone tonight either despite bidding for half the worlds players. Did get Dyche though which is an excellent...

Not seeing a lot of alternative suggestions.

If we sign X, Y from Champo - too old!!!!
If we borrow A,B from Big Club - too young!!!!
If we do nowt - too understaffed!!!!

Who should we hire? Who could we hire?

The Valley's a great place. Friendly fans too. In my thirty years in London I think this was my most visited ground.

Not too many disasters from what I can recall.

Reckon we'll win 1-2

Daughter did her first pole vault competition today so new pb - and a club record, she really enjoyed it! One of England Athletics more random licensed competition venues, a big barn on a farm in the middle of nowhere!
Good for her. I'd be absolutely terrified. 😁

First proper run in 6 weeks yesterday. The lurgy hasn't left completely so it was a bit stop/ start. However, it was a run.
