Re: The athletics/running thread

I'm actually a bit scared to start again. Did a couple of 5-6k.tuns a couple of weeks ago and am only just able to walk normally again with my bad hip.
I'll give it another month 😉

Re: Is football not a man's field? Away @ the Stags 26th Jan 2021

Nigel Cloughs post match interview is worth a listen. Our goals, flukes. Their (fluke) goal, was a great hit 🤣. What a whopper! Bitter sh!thead. Was narky all the way through the game, even when 2-0 up. Has to deflect from the fact that he and his team f&&ked up royally. In fairness I do think we g...

Just looking at the beeb stats we had seven shots and only two on target.
How the hell did we score three , game should be called a draw. Mansfield have the right of appeal.
Nigel? Is that you?

I'm happy about Arthur Gnahoua that's what I'm happy about. And if prufrock can dissect bwfc bench options on the athletics and running thread I'm putting it on here.

Re: The athletics/running thread

I'd say we look about 8 points off the playoffs mentally factoring in the different number of games played. If that sparks a run and we can win the next 3 winnable games (making 5 in a row) I'll start to believe. Maddison is a funny one. I can only think he's not their fitness wise. There are flash...

Re: Is football not a man's field? Away @ the Stags 26th Jan 2021

Next three games, next 10 days, we're playing three of the bottom five. And I repeat - we're five points below the dots. Might be getting giddy but isn't that why we follow? Oh my, you can't buy that feeling from any street vendor. Stop it. I will not allow your giddiness to influ.... FIVE fecking ...

Brilliant turnaround. Every credit to them all (including the manager 😁).
2 nil with 12 to play. Let's hope it's a season turner.

Never been to a proper game there, but went to that friendly a few years ago when we lost.
I'm predicting a come-from-behind draw today.

Re: FV Recruitment Model

Markham is now confirmed as technical performance director. I'm not quite sure what that involves. He's an upgraded Phoenix with better algorithms and a new screen. Evatt says he recommended him to the board. I wonder if in 6 months we are struggling whether once again Evatt will suddenly pull the ...

Joking apart, he's got a proper background in this stuff, which is far more encouraging that the computer game champion with the made up name.

Re: Best Ever 1-11

Saw Campo responded, chuckled and then felt a bit sad as it gave the irrelevant bastard a bit of gravitas for tweeting it in the first place. Not sure what Bonnars deal is? He regularly seemed to pick fights with people towards the end of his career (assume he is retired?). Seems very bitter and li...

Re: An age to start a match thread? Stevenage, home, Saturday 13/2/21 @ 3pm

Of course I'd like him to be adventurous and attack, but even without the benefit of hindsight, it was bonkers with Doyle and Dapo on there as well. As for the marking at the corner, it's not that I'd have preferred Tutte to be doing the marking, but for there to be some evidence of a proper plan on...

Re: An age to start a match thread? Stevenage, home, Saturday 13/2/21 @ 3pm

I was fairly underwhelmed by signing him, mainly because I'd never heard of him, but then he sounded like trouble and hadn't played well for a while. Also the adulation from our Twitter kids because he's a 'shagger' and a 'lad' and a ' shithouse' irritates me intensely. He's a potential asset...

Re: An age to start a match thread? Stevenage, home, Saturday 13/2/21 @ 3pm

I'm delighted to get a win today but far from letting Evatt off the hook.for Tuesday. Yes I agree we'd have won.without the red, but also think we'd have won without the ridiculous decision to sub on Elbouzedi instead of a DM. I wrote Evatt off at that point and it'll take a lot more wins to change ...

Not sure we deserved that at all. But I will take it. Santos man of the match says Eyre and Id go with that.
He did play very well, must be said.
