I very much like the balance of the back three.

I'm glad Maghoma's starting too.

Remember: Barnsley almost always score, but they also almost always concede. Keep at it, whites.

Iredale has to start next game. He’s been good coming on.
Agree - I like him in our system, he passes well and that helps with the overloads. Not sure who to drop, like...

I think we'd probably have to go with shunting Jones to RWB, wouldn't we?

Collins has been by a distance our biggest attacking threat. Unless he was completely shagged, why the feck would you take him off?

It'll no doubt be based on "the data".

Re: Raising the Bar: Barnsley (A), Tue 5 Mar 7.45pm

Even though I understand the logic behind our regular rotating of the starting eleven, there's a question to be asked about how big an impact it's having on individual efforts to find a bit of form and, for want of a better phrase, team synergy.

I'd be tempted to name an unchanged team.

Re: Contract expiry

That's great news on Toal.

I imagine we'll likely have to find out which league we'll be playing in next season before we cam tie down Santos, Sheehan, and Baxter.

Re: Raising the Bar: Barnsley (A), Tue 5 Mar 7.45pm

Evatt's comments today are hardly the type to fire us up going into such a crucial match.

Media training, or at least just a thicker skin, might be in order.

Re: Cam on, fear the noise: Cambridge (H) Sat 2 Mar 3pm

When was the last time we had two wing-backs starting consecutive matches? Possibly the last injury crisis... Ashworth & JDC both started the two league games either side of the Blackpool cup defeat, if that counts. If on the other hand you include cup games, those two started the Luton reply and t...

I'd also have given Ramsay an opportunity today, with the added bonus of allowing JDC a rest but there we are.

I really hope Collins can get himself off the mark.

Re: Pied and Prejudice, Wigan (A) 27/02/04.

I hope Evatt's post-match comments highlighting us dominating possession and dictating the tempo as positive is just media spin and that he's privately aware we were afforded the time and space to do just that as a part of the opposition gameplan.

A couple of things, BWFCi, me dear old mate. First off is the apparent glee with which you greet defeat. That's led some forum members to dislike you and call you a non-fan; I'm not among their number as I know you deeply care about the club, but I've also known you long enough to confirm that you'...

Re: Pied and Prejudice, Wigan (A) 27/02/04.

Oh and the system isn’t working. It’s failed. Crisis and Evatt has to respond and change it. Or he will have utterly failed. Our whole philosophy is working it out wide to the wing-backs so they can put in low crosses from the byline into a penalty area packed full of opposition players. It's no wo...
