Re: More donkey lashing? Blackpool (A) 25.2.20 KO 7.45

There's nothing to lose so play them, that will give us some idea what shape we'll be in for next term.
As for tonight, who knows, they may even surprise us and win but, I doubt it.

Re: The Keith Hill out thread

I was one who welcomed the appointment of Hill & Flitcroft but I did expect better than this. No doubt the "we have to be lucky we have a club to support" brigade will keep telling us his hands are tied, he's no money and he can't buy anyone. For anyone who listened to his pre/post match ramblings w...

Re: Day after St Valentines day massacre? Bolton v Wycombe Home, Sat 15th Feb. 3-o'clock.

I think most Bolton fans knew what they was getting in Keith Hill, especially if you listened to his pre/post match interviews whilst at Rochdale. Like most, we wrote this season off before a ball was kicked but, I did expect a gathering of players good enough to at least compete in this league. Wha...

Re: Day after St Valentines day massacre? Bolton v Wycombe Home, Sat 15th Feb. 3-o'clock.

I was so thrilled as a long time Bolton fan that FV saved the club from extinction, what followed has been nothing short of diabolical. As someone said, they have either no money or ain't bothered. I thought there was a new era of something promising but it's failed to deliver. This crop of players ...

Re: Day after St Valentines day massacre? Bolton v Wycombe Home, Sat 15th Feb. 3-o'clock.

Not gone today so watching via I follow, I think I have just simply had enough. This new era when Hill was installed had me a tad baffled but gave him the benefit of any doubt. I know the same old answers are thrown back like, "his hands are ties, we've no money he has to go with what he has et al e...

Re: You talk so much shit, Hill, you're twisting Mick's Mellon, man. Tranmere H 1/2/20

What a difference an early goal makes eh? That's the first time in ages we made the opposition look ordinary and not world beaters. Team played with more confidence, they tried to keep the ball and not one player didn't want the ball. With Politic looking like a prized asset and the lad Bryan lookin...

Re: You talk so much shit, Hill, you're twisting Mick's Mellon, man. Tranmere H 1/2/20

In November I'd have fancied us to beat this lot easily, now I'm not so sure. Hopefully our players are fresher than theirs and have got that appalling performance on Tuesday out of their system. They've just signed Vaughan. I just hope it's the Vaughan at Sunderland that turns up and not the bloke...

Re: Onwards and Downwards: 2020 transfer speculation thread.

Seems Hills preparing for Div 2, lets hope Delaney isn't a Donkey. As for Bridcutt, I have mixed opinions on him but, agree with one poster saying it shows how far we have slumped, losing out to Lincoln. I'm still optimistic that we can have a decent run and a strong ending to the season, at least ...

Nothing will change, same poor defending and a none potent attack will all be operational once again. Who knows, we may get a few surprises.

Those players should be so glad to get out on that pitch out the way of Hill. His team talks must begin an hour before kick off and by then they must be baffled by bullshit. I thought Parkinson's post match interviews were boring but, Hills even worse.

I've just about thawed out from sitting through that. I can't come to any conclusions as to whether this lot are the worst assembled team I have ever seen represent Bolton Wanderers or not? Our home performances recently doesn't seem that bad, (is there anyone with me on that?) Portsmouth game we ha...

Re: Trotting over the Yellowbellies to three points - Lincoln City (A) 14/01/20

As it currently stands it seems were years behind the likes of Accrington Rochdale et al. We do create more revenue via the gate than most clubs and will be the case next term. A decent side next season could put a lot more on the gate but, should this mess continue our gate will plummet. I'm unsure...

Re: Trotting over the Yellowbellies to three points - Lincoln City (A) 14/01/20

Most Bolton fans didn't expect miracles but they expected a manager of Hills pedigree to have assembled a side capable of beating a few teams. Last night was a complete embarrassment against a side in none league a couple of seasons ago, As stated before, my main fear is next season when Hill will a...

A spell in the Conference isn't in the thinking, well not just yet. This could be a reality should the same happen next term. It's not that we have assets we could sell to create a few signings suitable for league 2. We really need to planning for next season because for sure we'll be stating in tha...

Re: Trotting over the Yellowbellies to three points - Lincoln City (A) 14/01/20

What bothers me is next season. I know this season was a write off before a ball was kicked but, I expected the players Hill assembled to be more competitive than what we have witnessed. This squad of players are not good enough for this league and this is why I'm concerned for next term. Will the s...

Re: Trotting over the Yellowbellies to three points - Lincoln City (A) 14/01/20

Got what they deserved. Passing is feck* shocking, constantly giving the ball back to the opposition. This is probably the worse Bolton team I have witnessed in my time, and there has been many believe me. I would have thought Hill could have assembled a squad capable of at least competing in this l...

They get one chance and score. We can't even create a single chance. This lot will even struggle in the bottom league, simply not good enough.
Same old problem, can't find the net haunts us again.
