Re: We are (hopefully) staying up: the opposition

Seems like Clement is set to become Reading boss. Now 1/10 (1/20 in a place) with the bookies. Apparently could be confirmed today.

How have we just come away with a point?!

Still 19th and four points above the relegation zone. I'll take that!

We've now signed Kirchhoff, according to Lee A on Twitter (albeit he's only said it in emoji language so far). Can only be a positive. :box:

Re: Bottom feeders: wounded Wanderers v sinking Sunderland 20/2/18 8pm

Just been reading through some Sunlin fans' tweets. They are not sounding optimistic about tonight one little bit and sounds like the team/club is on its knees tbh.

Fire to be back in't belly for us in a 4-1 win. Ameobi hat-trick. 8)

Re: Whites barrier to hold against the Fulham surge? BWFC v Fulham 10/2/2018 3pm

In the cold cold cold light of day, all the rest of the immediate opposition drew too. So, not much of a step forward as it could have been. Shame, as I thought there was a heroic attitude amongst the players to reconstitute what 'team' play means. We deserved more out of the position we lie in tha...

Cracking point. 4 points from this game and Bristles... wow. :pissed:

Alf's goal is up on Twitter (RT by the offish - http://twitter.com/OfficialBWFC - you'll find it at or near the top). And it really is a belter. *Insert that twitter emojie with the hearts for eyes here*

Re: Contract expiry

It's interesting how things can change so quickly. Derek and Dorian were both put in the window for the January sales, but a couple of outings and they've both shown their value as squad players. It'll come down to how much pruning Ken will want to do in the summer to balance the books as to whether...

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017

"It was always our intention to come out with a larger squad" simply doesn't chime with those pre-Christmas notes about having 33 eligible players and wanting to reduce that to a squad size of 23/24. Really weird, that bit. Am sure he mentioned reducing the squad size on more than on one occasion, ...

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017

Heh, Palace have the papers in to sign a striker and are hopeful of concluding it. Oh well... Ronnow suddenly looking doubtful as Brøndby needed to secure a replacement and that deal appears to have fallen through. Palace haven’t given up but currently it’s off. However #CPFC remain confident Sorlo...

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017

Seems like Burnley's attempts to get Holding have failed (though they went in with a loan bid second time 'round anyway) so no sell-on windfall from that, even if it's a moot point to our own dealings in this window now.

Bugger. Let's see.

Meanwhile Sunderland's effort to find a goalkeeper with hands are still being thwarted. They were pinning their hopes on Andy Lonergan - imagine that - but he's staying at Leeds...
They should buy Amos for £15m. Sorted.

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017

It is understood that the 29-year-old will now stay with the Eagles for the remainder of the season, following the injury sustained by Palace forward Bakary Sako in the 1-1 draw with West Ham last night (Tuesday). https://www.croydonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/called-off-crystal-p...
