Re: FA Cup fourth round replay: Wigan v Bolton

I've just had a look at Fulham's website. Kids for a quid, by the look of things. Might go, and take the Kebablette for her first large scale footy match. She has been to one already - a South Midlands League game between Colney Heath and Haringey Borough - but I might let her see what it's like to ...

Re: Mad Gerry

Someone I used to work with at Luton was on the same UEFA B course as him. Apparently he was crap, but because he was so scary, and his stare was so mental, he was as good as passed after the second day.

Re: Worth it????

I'm looking at the ticket prices, trying to organise a number of school trips for the Games. No medal ceremony/final of any sport, other than the marathon (mostly free), the road cycling (mostly free), the triathlon (most of the cycling bit free) under £35. Apart from BMX. Any £20 ticket will be ei...

Re: May be a bit of a girlie idea for a thread...

I told my Dad the name. He immediately mentioned this man: http://www.footballzone.co.uk/images/i-13000/13189.jpg ....which will do. He wasn't named after anybody - we just liked the name. My first choice was Alex, no doubt bringing consternation from some peopole frothing at the mouth because he'd ...

Re: Referees

Suppose Coyle slamming Clattenburg worked. Miracles do happen.

(oh, Clattenburg was centre of attention in his Championship game today as well. Never learns.)

Re: May be a bit of a girlie idea for a thread...

I'll add to this thread soon, now that the Kebabling is here. The Kebablette is joined by Freddie James, who arrived at 6.16 this evening. Got into the hospital at 3.45, waters broke at 4.30, and after some pushing he came out without any problems. Mrs K and the Kebabling are still in hospital, Mr ...

Re: Bolton Wanderers vs Toffeemen

I'll be missing it. Looks like I'll be in hospital helping the Kebabling arrive. This means we'll probably win 7-0, with all seven being overhead kicks by Elmander, each one better than Rooney's.

I have bet on an Everton win, just to make sure that doesn't happen.

Re: Just seen this

I lived in Ayr for two years on and off, and brought back two bits of information:

1) Scottish Junior football is madness at the best of times.

2) Cumnock is one of the lairiest places in the world.

This sounds like the average christening in Cumnock.

Re: Denmark v England

Milner had a good second half, when he stayed wider. In the first half, he was drifting in a lot and it gave no option down the left. Ashley Cole wasn't making the forward runs due to Denmark having an extra man there. I'd be interested to see what Wilshere could do with, say, Gerrard, or that mythi...

And he played well. Composed on the ball, even Terry seemed to grow in confidence at his introduction. Linked up well, and mucked in with two important interventions. Got dug out for special praise by Capello in the ITV post match interview. All in all, a decent performance. The back four were makin...
