Re: Purchase Real Passports,([email protected])Driver's

I hope they're the nice blue passports and not those horrible EU ones.

Re: The Politics Thread

About 3 lines it, it says it would not stand by if the US initiated first strike.

Have you actually read that article? It only allows for retaliation.

Re: The Politics Thread

Re Saudi Arabia...

Don't we export billions of pounds worth of arms to them already?

And if they are somebody we should be worrying about, is that such a wise idea?

I think that makes you a lefty peacenik.

A good nuclear war would sort everything out. If only you could see that.

Re: The Politics Thread

Chinese state media have reported that the Chinese President urged spunktrumpet to tone down the rhetoric.

So maybe you're making that up?

Re: The Politics Thread

As I say, nuclear policy revolves around deterrent. The US will not initiate first strike on North Korea to simply make sure they don't have nuclear weapons. And they most certainly have not given up on diplomacy. That's patently absurd. And not least, again, despite some fantastical nonsense being i...

Re: The Politics Thread

Solution to what though? They've both said lots of cock-measuring shite - you know, the kind of stuff that get's Hoboh all moist at the prospect of a nuclear armageddon - but what's changed? Most (I think all tbh) nuclear policies are based around deterrent, not unilateral thermonuclear strike. Desp...

Re: The Politics Thread

Hands up who's stupid enough to think the Chinese will allow someone to drop nuclear weapons on their doorstep without having something to say about it.

You can't act unilaterally with nuclear warheads. It's not even a discussion point.

I take it you've been keeping up with the implications for the law regarding ECJ jurisdiction and the 'Great' (snigger) repeal bill?

Sounds like an omnishambles in the making from where I'm sat.

Re: The Politics Thread

Interestingly, we pay more for our railways now, under private ownership, than we ever did when they were publically owned. The incentive to invest in public good doesn't exist within the private sector, it invests for profit (quite rightly). The problem is, railways have a far greater weighting tow...

Re: The Politics Thread

Believe it or not, most developed countries have a form of universal health care. Including most of Europe.

This of course depends on the definition of developed. I don't consider the US to be developed by so many parameters, so perhaps I could just say all?

Re: The Politics Thread

It might be worth a quick glance at a dictionary, and a check on your definition of 'democracy'. It may need a little fine tuning. I would advise you to show that dictionary to the EU in Brussels first, esp. the Commission. Not elected by the people. A clear majority in the UK voted to leave the EU...
