Bugger. Pompey get a late penalty... and score.

Re: Who opened the door? My money is on Janus! 2024 January transfer thread.
Evatt mentions he can play either side in an emergency. Wouldn't expect a RWB to come in now I'll take that. Ashworth, Iredale, Ogbeta and Williams (when fit) for the left side, JDC, Matheson, Ogbeta and Jones (when back) for the right. Looking forward to the returns of Jones and Forrester to bolst...

Re: South to East (London, that is) Leyton Orient away Sat 20th Jan 3-0'clock..
Reminder that, even if results stay as they are, if everyone wins all their games in hand we would still be two points clear at the summit. So there's that. One of the games in hand is Barnsley away isn’t it? Points on the board > games in hand! Agreed. But again, no reason to expect that everyone ...

Give up on promotion folks. Sorry, I know it's only January, and we're fourth with games in hand, but BWFC-I says we can't possibly go up after going a goal down to one of the form sides.
Might as well pack it in for the rest of the seasom, aye?

Re: South to East (London, that is) Leyton Orient away Sat 20th Jan 3-0'clock..
Losing this is not an option if we want to win automatic promotion. The performance is abysmal. Also Ashworth cannot be anywhere near a team that wants to win promotion. Nowhere near good enough. And we can’t be babysitting him with our ambitions. Get rid and get a proper wing back in. There is no ...

Re: F.A.Cup...Re-play V Luton at Home. Tues 16th Jan 19-45
If we carry on playing like that, promotion won't be a problem. And we'll have absolutely nothing to fear in the Championship next season either. There were moments in rhe first half where Ross Barkley couldn't move without Thomason mugging him of the ball. Whisper it quietly, you don't want to dist...

Almost best-case scenario, really. Played a very good, even game vs Prem opposition, narrowly knocked out but with enough chances to say we could have deserved better. But no more fixture congestion (at least with the FA Cup). Sheehan was incredible. As was Thomason, who must have added about £20m t...

Re: F.A.Cup...Re-play V Luton at Home. Tues 16th Jan 19-45
I don’t think that’s desirable. The league is what matters. It is what determines our future. Cups are an irrelevance right now. Bollocks to that. Winning things is never irrelevant in professional football. It's the whole point. It's why you go into the game, aside from the fact it looks after you...

I'd quite like to be the first team to successfully defend this trophy. It'd go nicely alongside our "biggest winning margin" record from last year.

Interested in what the clubs rationale for pricing is here. There are a few possibilities…. 1) Worried that £10 tickets wouldn’t cover costs re policing etc… 2) Don’t believe £10 tickets would have sufficiently boosted attendance to compensate for lower turnover 3) Feel £10 for a cup game against p...

Forgive my ignorance, but having never visited Molineux, which one is the Wolves song...? Hi Ho Silver Lining. There’s a few that play it nowadays Tbf. Ta muchly. And to you, Ghost. Yeah, I'd rather have something that's uniquely "ours". Or at the least that not every other f*cker plays. Excruciati...

I went for 633 Squadron. Noticable from the centre circle that, if we finish with Thunderstruck before the teams emerge and 633 starts up, there's an audible frisson of (seems to me to be) excitement that ripples round the stadium.
Like to keep Thunderstruck on the playlist though. I like that one.

No. The luck is that the original header a yard either side of Jerome and it’s a goal. We had no control over that and it was lucky it was straight at him. "We need bodies on the line defending!" "NOT LIKE THAT!" Just stop it  The context is we were 3-0 up at home to Leyton bloody Orient and o...

In the end it was just luck. Not some massively determined effort the dividing line on the day was just a bit of luck. This is where this line of bollocks gets frustrating, Insane. You so often demanded we see lads throwing their bodies on the line and putting in tackles, as a sign of their charact...

Re: Murder on the Orient Express. Home to Leyton O, Sat 23rd Dec, 15:00
We are only dominant because of football finance. We are outperforming our spending too, if we're saying budget should equal league placement :conf: Really not sure what you think you're proving here, Insane. Not much, as things stand. You've said yourself recently we need to spend more if we want ...
