Re: What is our best starting eleven?

^^ I read that Rochdale had a 16 year old at full-back for their recent game v Sunderland, and that he played a blinder against McGeady. There's a lot to be said for playing one or two youngsters, and I wouldn't be surprised to see one or two start against Rotherham, whether circumstances call for i...

Re: What is our best starting eleven?

Probably agree with most others so far, give or take a few players. I'd take out Luke Murphy and I'd have Buckely in as a definite starter. I kinda concur with Bruce that - since most of us have never heard of some of these lads - it's hard to pick an XI. But at the same time, it probably largely pi...

Re: Onwards and Downwards: 2020 transfer speculation thread.

Look, I get what folk are saying, and I get that it's early doors. But if you listen to fan complaints from the last few years, a prime one has been a lack of creativity on the pitch, a lack of chances created et cetera. And, for me, and Bertie as well, we need someone in the middle of the park who'...

Re: Onwards and Downwards: 2020 transfer speculation thread.

I think if we don't get a CAM in there pronto, we'll fall back on the same complaints us fans have had while Parky was here (and especially last season) - dour football, no creative spark, few chances created et cetera. It's okay having the runners but we've been there, done that and were bored to ...

Re: Onwards and Downwards: 2020 transfer speculation thread.

Great post on Crawford, DSB, cheers.

I'm personally thinking we still need a CAM - a playmaker. Iles created his teamsheet today and stuck Weir in that position. Is he the best we can do, or is there anyone else available?

Re: Onwards and Downwards: 2020 transfer speculation thread.

Ben Pringle signed for Gillingham, a lad who trained with us this summer. I wouldn't have minded having him here but perhaps we're covered for wingers now

Re: Onwards and Downwards: 2020 transfer speculation thread.

If we've got any designs on staying up, Rotherham is pretty much must-win

I'd be happy to still be in the mix come January. If we're doomed by then, it just makes it a drag of a season

Re: Onwards and Downwards: 2020 transfer speculation thread.

Sounds like Murphy is done. Must say of the newbs I've only seen enough to comment of Murphy, Bridcutt and O'Grady. O'Grady never impressed but the other two are absolute top drawer for where we are. Will be delighted if that's the case. Plus bodies. And someone who's scored at the Reebok! Murphy -...

Re: Onwards and Downwards: 2020 transfer speculation thread.

It is being said (by Marc Iles, chiefly) that we've been talking to Celic about some fellah called Dodoo... surely too good to miss? A proper ding-dong-do-doo.... With a name like that it has to be the lad who came from Leicester originally and scored a hat trick in the league cup a few years back ...

One rumour I heard - guessing won't be confirmed today - is that Buckley is very close to re-signing.
He's done nothing for us so far but you'd take him at League One level

I'd take Bridcutt.

I'd possibly take Danns. But I've had a few beers so
