Re: Can we ram home the point(s), only time wool tell ewe! (A) at Derby, Sat 7th April
I'm not too down as I expected to lose about 3-0. Then again, the fact I expected to lose 3-0 says it all really. We are dreadful and if we do go down it'll be impossible to claim we didn't deserve it.

5th from top vs 5th from bottom doesn't exactly bode well for us.

Re: We are (hopefully) staying up: the opposition
The team we have at the minute is thrown together from whoever is available on a free and willing to take not much money, plus a load of dross nobody will take off out books. I feel for Parky, in that it's hard to see a way for this collection of players to play successfully. We can't push-up, beca...

Re: We are (hopefully) staying up: the opposition
We've no chance of anything at Derby. For me we've a 3 game season. Barnsley, Burton and Forest. Anything we get against Derby, Millwall and Wolves is an absolute bonus. Think we're going sadly......the writing has been on the wall for some time. Without Madine we have to do too much to get results...

Re: Will we be beating the Blues, or singing the blues? BWFC v Birmingham 3/4/18 8pm
Meh. We're not doomed off the back of it, it was just a chance to be almost certain we'd stay up. If we'd won that I'd not have had a worry, as we'd have taken confidence into the remaining home fixtures. The trouble is that, as I've said on here before, it's our home form that'll decide things. If ...

That was shocking, from both the manager and the players. Parkinson's only way of playing is seemingly to organise some form of defence and then hope the lads do enough to knick one at the other end. There's zero plan going forward, or if there is one then it's bloody moronic. The players have to ha...

Re: We are (hopefully) staying up: the opposition
We're not very good, but we've enough about us to stay up. We have to beat Brum tomorrow evening. If we do that, we'll be fine. Lose that game and then we can start panicking again. I think we'll win.

Re: Release or retain?
Chungy does have a soft spot for Wanderers and he's a cut above this division, Really? He can't get in a shite side who are currently 'a cut above this division'. I think he's very much a 2nd division player, albeit a very good one. Really. He was a good player for us in the Prem and he was too goo...

We showed why we are where we are in the league, but it's not away games that'll keep us up. Barnsley dropped points at home, which is a bigger deal for their survival hopes than a loss away is for our's.

Re: We are (hopefully) staying up: the opposition
The introduction of safe standing might help bring more traditional fans back in. Some MPs are currently pushing for it and I think lobbing local MPs could probably get that through. A proper youth drive, with one section of the East Lower becoming a true family area with entertainment etc might tie...

Re: Release or retain?
CYL's contract does expire this summer, but I'd say the main reason he considered coming to us was to maximise his chance of getting in Korea's World Cup squad. No such jeopardy exists for him next season, and I'd imagine he'd have better offers elsewhere. This strikes me as spot on. Chungy does ha...

I was supposed to be going to this one, but the kids have picked up a virus and if I go then the away end will likely catch the plague off me. If I hear any more moaning between now and Friday and I might go and cough on everyone. Their home form has been garbage recently, so there has to be some ca...

a huge town (I think we're the largest non-city in the UK, but can stand correction on that score) I was always tolkd as a boy we were the biggest town in the country, but nowadays I guess it depends how you cut it with unitary authorities, post-1974 boundaries and so on. I think there's room for d...

Re: We are (hopefully) staying up: the opposition
The club is less visible in the weekly routine of the town now that you don't see crowds of people in white shirts walking down Manchester Road. How that's changed attendance I don't know. On the plus side, it has been far easier to convince players they're coming to a "big" club when we've got a mo...
