Re: Raising the Bar: Barnsley (A), Tue 5 Mar 7.45pm

《Sellotapes the Exeter tickets back together》   Iredale has to start next game. He’s been good coming on. Agree - I like him in our system, he passes well and that helps with the overloads. Not sure who to drop, like... I think we'd probably have to go with shunting Jones to RWB, wo...

Re: Dem Bones, Dem Bones, Dem Bare Bones....

I don't think it's on @-ing people to that kind of stuff, but otherwise it's more like pub chat, for me. It's public, but it's not broadcast to someone.

Think it's sensible for them not to search themselves. It's mean, but I don't think it's over a line.

Re: Raising the Bar: Barnsley (A), Tue 5 Mar 7.45pm

Ogbeta got a bit of a rest Saturday. Demps for Paris would be my only change, but I'd be fine unchanged too. Ogbeta really helps hide Toal's weakness on the ball too. First one we've had since Connor you can just give the ball too without having to work them space, which relies on a lot of moving pa...

Re: Raising the Bar: Barnsley (A), Tue 5 Mar 7.45pm

They make it incredibly transitional, the game at ours was mad, players on both sides cramping up within 70mins. If we match them physically I think we'll win. Might suit us a bit more to play at their gaff where we can absorb and then break a bit more, though I'm sure we'll try to control the game ...

Re: Cam on, fear the noise: Cambridge (H) Sat 2 Mar 3pm

I like Maghoma, and his ceiling is very very high. On the ball and in tight areas he's far too good for this league, some of the things he's done in a white shirt have been unbelievable. The goal the other week v Charlton, the assist on Saturday. He's still very raw though, and can be woefully bad o...

Re: Tonight's Football

Phil Foden is a super, special player. Has to start for England. You'd hope so, wouldn't you? Because he's also brilliantly flexible positionally, which would allow for in-game tweaks, let aloine in-tournament. I'm not Southgate (clearly) but I can't see how he leaves him out now, especially in a 4...

I'm not sure, pretty sure when I did the same thing at about the same stage we weren't exceptionally poor then either (we weren't second though). I think it just always feels that way (to everyone).

Re: Cam on, fear the noise: Cambridge (H) Sat 2 Mar 3pm

I suspect it's one of both of: 1) Like Plymouth, they are the best team. You're entitled to think they don't have better players, but if they keep up their current ppg against the top 6 I'm pretty confident they'll go up as champions, deservedly so, and that's pretty good evidence as to how good th...

Re: Cam on, fear the noise: Cambridge (H) Sat 2 Mar 3pm

It's also just not true. We had basically the same conversation last year. It's one of those biases (like DSB's imagine you were watching a game as a fan of the other team, how would you think it was going?) The better teams are better, so results are naturally mixed. Everyone in those groups is use...

Re: Cam on, fear the noise: Cambridge (H) Sat 2 Mar 3pm

Maghoma has been excellent on the ball but oh boy is he shocking off it! JDC had a weird game, got himself into some great positions with no end product, been clattered twice, but that miss is about as bad as you'll see. Pushing Dion close for worst of the season (the Pompey one before any wags ask ...

Re: Cam on, fear the noise: Cambridge (H) Sat 2 Mar 3pm

Ian loves Cambridge at home. That was a fantastic half, the only complaint anyone could level is we should be out of sight. Have to put the foot down now. A lot of that confidence will come back if we can put these to the sword, and they are terrible.

Thomo and Ogbeta been absolutely outstanding.

I think that counts as a clearance from Collins...
Dealt with it really well, very easy to turn those into your own goal...
