Re: Darren Pratley.

Pratley is a decent player....a few other prem teams where sniffing about not long ago He's a good midfielder not that old, much better than Muamba IMO - he's comfortable on the ball and gets around the pitch and gets forward....although he may cost around £2M though at a guess ?, if it comes off it...

Re: January transfer window...

But he also can't play as 1 of a central 2 - IMO because he's just not a good enough footballer and is very inconsistent I seem to recall him having a good time playing as a defensive midfielder for England U21's in a tournament a few years ago, I appreciate that the prem is a lot harder to play in,...

Re: January transfer window...

BWFCI - Muamba's only good attribute is breaking up play, his use of the ball in possession is awful and he is poor when running with the ball (like a headless chicken)

Football is about opinions and I have mine & you have yours...but yours is wrong in this case !

Re: January transfer window...

If (big if for me....) OC wants to continue playing Muamba, he needs to change the formation to accomodate him as a defensive midfielder sitting in front of the back four, not as part of a central two - its hardly rocket science. Coyle needs to start looking at a plan B, not just continue playing 4-...

Re: Bolton Vs Chelsea

This 'need pace up front' mantra is a bit of a puzzler...what exactly are we going to do when we have it? It would give us a plan B, another option instead of pinging aimless balls to the heads of davies & elmander when they are being marked by top defenders who are decent in the air. It would enab...

Re: Time Up For Jussi?

I think the 1st was a great strike and it did move....but I'd think that Jussi was disppointed with the 2nd/3rd & 4th The 2nd looked like it sneaked in at the near post (on the inside) and the 3rd & 4th went straight through him. He's been a great servant to the club, but everyone's time comes at so...

Re: Time Up For Jussi?

Yes without doubt - he's a liability and has been for the past 2 seasons IMO

But then again what do I know....

PS...he can take K Davies with him

Re: Bolton Vs Chelsea

First 5 / 10 mins we played excellent, high tempo & moved the ball around well...after that it was poor and a little embarrasing, Chelsea never got out of 2nd gear Yet again Jussi was a liability (should have saved the 2nd & 3rd goals IMO), he's gone as a premier league keeper, K Davies & Elmander a...

Re: The Trotters v The Potters

However, when we are struggling I try to offer 'my opinion' as to the reasons why and accept that most probably don't agree, because they are IMO either a little 'blinkered' or don't want to say anything to upset the masses. Mate - it's feck all to do with blinkered or upsetting the masses. You pos...

Re: The Trotters v The Potters

Dibble....I've actually been away for a while but you make a fair point. I accept that I don't post as often when we are doing well (although I do occasionally....), for me its a bit pointless posting well done, keep it going etc...that's why I don't tend to But I go to most home games & the odd 1 o...

Re: January transfer window...

We're talking about the SWP of now not the one of 6 or 7 years ago during his first spell at City. He has little end product, still a bit of pace but rarely scares premiership defences. He's 29 and his wages, even if we end up doing a deal will still cost a fortune. How is he an improvement over LC...

Re: The Trotters v The Potters

The slump we're currently in is down to have the smallest squad and again one of the smallest budgets in the league. Agreed, we've been all over the place with our match-day team, that's hardly OC's fault. Sorry pal...I'm a fan of OC and want him here for years to come, but as manager the buck stop...

Re: January transfer window...

Same question....why would you pass on Shaun Wright Phillips ?

Because we're blessed with quality players arn't we !, he's certainly better than anthing we've currently got.

Re: The Trotters v The Potters

Ok here goes.... Its not just Jussi, KD & Taylor who have got us to 30 points, and I've always said Taylor's a very limited poor player which IMO he certainly consistantly is, Jussi & KD are both around the 34/35 mark in terms of age, and however much you love & idolise them everyone's time comes to...

Re: The Trotters v The Potters

we were getting carried away with all the talk of europe i'ts back to reality as someone said earlier we're to soft we need to start mixing it a bit and start grinding out a few hard fought results at the moment if we don't score we get beat. jussi's not the keeper he was and needs dropping, can't ...

Re: The Trotters v The Potters

We've got a small squad and its showing. Isn't this what happens to us every December/January as I predicted? You can't get by without cover up front when Klasnic is out, or when we have no defensive cover whatsoever, and the midfield is equally sparse. We need fresh legs to inject some life, Holde...

Re: The Trotters v The Potters

Let's be honest we've clearly over achieved this season and been quite lucky IMO apart from 3 or 4 very good high tempo encouraging performances and it was very good while it lasted, but its no surprise that the bubbles burst and we are now struggling with this current average group of players. OC i...

Re: Matty Taylor

Forgot to post yesterday about how good it is to see Taylor back to his best. He'd have been our MOTM yesterday were it not for Elmanders effort. He was excellent. Has re-found his sharpness and seems hungry and covers so much ground. His inclusion in the team has allowed us to tighten one side of ...
