Re: The Politics Thread

The whole Brexit thing is making Parliament and the bodies that run Britain look like a right bunch of buffoons. We might be world leaders at changing guards and dressing up in pantomime frocks and wigs and stuff, but in actual politics and law enforcement we resemble a country as focused and dange...

Re: Onwards and Downwards: 2020 transfer speculation thread.

Seems like Joe Dodoo was released by Rangers before the transfer window closed (https://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/jo ... s-rangers/). Free to sign for another team whenever he likes.

Do we have three places left in the squad? Perhaps Dodoo will be signing soon.

Re: Onwards and Downwards: 2020 transfer speculation thread.

What about Neil Danns (36 now) also at Bury? Can he do a job for us in this league? Limited player but always gave his all. Better than Murphy surely. I think we can do better, personally. Even in this state. I think and really hope you are correct but we might only be looking at freebies or loan p...

Re: Onwards and Downwards: 2020 transfer speculation thread.

Nixon (whatever) tweets Hill keen on “the lad Dawson at Bury” I saw that but thought it better not quoting him. Did a bit of research on the lad. Stephen Dawson - 33 year old midfielder experienced in the lower levels (Mansfield, Bury, Barnsley, Leyton Orient, Rochdale). Signed and immediately made...

Re: The next manager

K.H. seems well satisfied to be managing Bolton and regards his appointment as an honour. Good sign for starters. As a manager he'll almost certainly get a grip on stopping us being the League One whipping boys. Sorry we didn't get Kev Nolan, but this appointment looks decent. Good luck Mr Hill and...

Wasn’t first choice for me but can see sense in it. And I’m right behind him. Welcome to Wanderers Keith!

Yep. Where I am at.

Good luck boys.

Re: The next manager

Marc Iles Tweeting we are due to appoint the new manager much sooner that expected (late next week was mooted earlier).

A Nixon Tweeting Michael James choosing and want an experienced unemployed manager.

All pointing to Keith Hill if true. We need someone and we need him now.

Re: Time to field the club Priest: A Vs Gillingham 31:08:19 3pm

We are deperate for some creativity and a striker. Gillingham have had 14 shots (5 on target). Bolton have had 1 shot.

Lets hope we have a few experiened players lined up on Monday. Some decent loans might be just what we need.

Re: The next manager

Hill and Nolan have both had/having interviews. So the story goes. Had them yesterday in London. Why don't you quote your source when you make these statements as though you are 'in the know'? Why not say, according to some random person on Twitter or just read on Lion of Vienna that they were both...

Nixon says announcement imminent. From who is anyone's guess.

He seems to be hinting at this property magnate not FV.

Re: Administration and recovery

I've never registered on another clubs forum before but felt I had to on this occasion. I'm saddened to see what is unfolding at Bolton Wanderers and my heart goes out to the fans. I just wanted to post something on here to show some solidarity as a football fan. I've worked in Bolton and know just...

"The lengthy...

https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/17844164.bolton-wanderers-boss-phil-parkinson-hung-dry/ Strong words from Phil Parkinson. It's hard to disagree. Our games, as opposed to Burys, are only going ahead because a deal was imminent. We should be looking to get the Doncaster game suspended as the av...

Oh shit. Sounds nasty. Scalp wounds always bleed a lot.

I think you can buy Steri Strips from a chemist. That's all the hospital use these days. Make sure it is closed up properly so it doesn't get infected and you don't have an ugly scar.
