Re: Administration and recovery

I've never registered on another clubs forum before but felt I had to on this occasion. I'm saddened to see what is unfolding at Bolton Wanderers and my heart goes out to the fans. I just wanted to post something on here to show some solidarity as a football fan. I've worked in Bolton and know just...

Re: Administration and recovery

Bolton owner Ken Anderson told Sky Sports News: "I have had no contact with any of the consortium, The Eddie Davies trust or Keir Gordon (Lawyer for the Trust) since the appointment of the administrators and was not involved in any of the discussions or delays over the last few months. "The lengthy...

https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/17844164.bolton-wanderers-boss-phil-parkinson-hung-dry/ Strong words from Phil Parkinson. It's hard to disagree. Our games, as opposed to Burys, are only going ahead because a deal was imminent. We should be looking to get the Doncaster game suspended as the av...

Re: General Chit Chat

If I hadn't heard of them before I'd have definitely thought it was April 1st. Cute little buggers. Qué? The link goes literally nowhere? Because they are too small to see....? Depends on your eyes and which article you read. I've read one that said they are 1mm long and Wiki has then 0.5mm. Either...

Re: Enforced break (no pun intended).

Oh shit. Sounds nasty. Scalp wounds always bleed a lot.

I think you can buy Steri Strips from a chemist. That's all the hospital use these days. Make sure it is closed up properly so it doesn't get infected and you don't have an ugly scar.

A win would of course be great but come on people don't get your hopes up. This is going to be a thrashing. A handful of experienced professionals, some very inexperienced youths, the bloke who cuts the grass and a steward. I'd be surprised if we have more than a couple of subs. It's the first day ...

Re: Josh Magennis

Can understand his situation to some extent but to not play after getting paid (allegedly) then it is a poor show. If he wanted to leave that badly he shouldn't have been turning up to training. Not playing today is punishing the fans who have been rather tolerant of his piss poor performances last...

Thought you'd all enjoy this:
"If I were to travel a complete circuit of the M25 how many miles would I save by driving anti-clockwise as opposed to clockwise?"

I found that strangely interesting.

Are GMR still reporting on matches? I realise that is not guaranteed but they did commentry on most Bolton matches last season (I know they flick between games quite a bit more than Tower but better than no Radio Tango). I think they can do commentry on three matches on a Saturday with their DAB sta...

Re: Science, Experiment, and the failure of Reality.

Ahhhh. The old sundial. Three things. We change over between GMT and BST twice a year, which kicks a bloody big hole in't'owd sundial timekeeping. Second: as summer lengthens, shadows shorten - it's no good having a pebble stuck where winter noon is when your summer shadow is feet off it. Thirdly. ...

Re: Administration and recovery

Having just watched us the subject of Granada Reports (views of the stadium and Mr Bassini scuttling about chasing papers across the grass and coming across as less than the great white hope to ride to our rescue) I'd say he shouldn't have bothered. He was hardly coherent and din't really say anyth...
