Re: The Politics Thread

Wish I'd known there was going to be a 'Stop Boris' march tonight, I'd 'av' been right up for that! Mob rules. Democracy stands for nothing these days. Your are either a socialist or a fascist and a racist. https://news.sky.com/video/anti-johnson-protesters-take-to-london-streets-11885868#spark_wn=1

Let's hope for a decent leader of the opposition. Keir Starmer - he's yer man. Looking at some of the places that have gone blue from red - Workington, Barrow, Redcar - fecking REDCAR!!! Sedgfield, Bandwagon Burnham's Leigh, Bridgend, Don Valley, Grimsby.... the list goes on. An absolute disaster f...

Re: General Chit Chat

Absolutely stunned that Elon Musk has got away with calling British caving expert, Vernon Unsworth, that 'Pedo Guy' when he was helping to find and rescue the kids Thai football team in July 2018. To call someone a pedo and insist that it is merely an insult and not meaning he was a paedophile is un...

In terms of importance then those suggested by Dibble are the ones that spring to mind. The 'best' goals I can think of in terms of technique; ALFs wonder strike at home to Fulham Velas at home to Gillingham when Clough's neat back heel played him in. Mark Davies finishing off a great team move in ...

Not so simple as needing rehab though is it? Someone who is plotting cooly and seriously to cause mass murder is way past any form of rehab and No you can feel sympathy, regret along with anger at their death, despite their views, without being crass. I was listening to an expert on the wireless th...

Looking at it again their player dived flailing his arms in the air. I thought refs had been trained a few years ago to spot someone who had been fouled (arms go down to the floor for impact) and those that dived (arms up in unnatural movement). Two very bad mistakes.

Have we any indication yet as to when we're likely to hear something?
It was mentioned not before Wednesday. So could be tomorrow (or anytime in the future).

Crowd at England v Germany Women's football tonight,77,700 plus. Just mentioning. I'm reading this wonderful book just now, entitled 'I Think You'll Find It's a Bit More Complicated Than That'. So, shall we break this marvellous 77,700 figure down into paying categories then? :D Was also billed as ...

Re: Will our guile make Plymouth rock? FA Cup 1st Round 9.11.19 KO 3pm

One good chance in the game and Plymouth scored. Defensively they were very well organised and only gave us half chances. Not enough quality balls into the box. Although a pretty dire game, I saw more action in the first two minutes than all the five games combined I watched last season. Silver lini...

It's also possible that Hill had drilled into Weir what he expected from him, and Weir just ignored it. The ball is in Weir's court at the moment for me. If he wasn't listening to his boss, he'll have to start doing so. Mourinho's been just as brutal (if not more so) with his players in the past an...

I may not have much choice:

Labour - never
Tories - never
SNP - not voting for independence obsessed
Scottish Greens - See above
Independant candidate - what's the point?

I think quite a few will have the same view.

Not angry but in the absence of a 'Today I'm mildly irked' thread... The honours system. As mentioned in the cricket thread, we've just made a convicted domestic abuser a knight of the realm. Re: Onwards and Downwards: 2020 transfer speculation thread.

Seems like Joe Dodoo was released by Rangers before the transfer window closed (https://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/jo ... s-rangers/). Free to sign for another team whenever he likes.

Do we have three places left in the squad? Perhaps Dodoo will be signing soon.
