Re: Chasing the Ace..V M.K.Dons away,Sat 26th Feb. 3-0'clockk

So much time, look at their press to ours. Pathetic. Possibly our game plan? Been getting the impression we're saving our fitness for the second half in matches lately. (conceding however is not part of the game plan) No, we're just being outplayed. As has been pointed out, we're sitting off them w...

I forgot Dapo started the previous two matches. In that context I can understand the logic.

Trafford, Fossey, Jones, Santos, Johnston, John, Williams, Morley, Dempsey, Charles, Baka

Dixon, Dad Bod, Aimson, Dapo, Sadlier, Thomason, Gordon

I think I'd have started Dapo ahead of Baka but other than that it's the starting eleven I'd have named.

Re: Are those Yellowbellies marching over Winter Hill? v Lincoln Home Tues 22nd Feb

I get the feeling McDons would ruthlessly expose either Gordon or Sadlier at left wing-back. If John's out injured I'd be giving serious thought to a reversion to a back four. They scored 3 against our back 4 last go. Jones, Baps, Johnston and John. Not sure Jones, Santos, Johnston and Gordon fills...

Two consecutive Tuesday night battling performances at home. Take the lead, get pegged back, then go on to win it in the last fifteen minutes.

Our ability to score late goals is a real asset.

Why is it still half time in the Sunderland game?

Match interrupted due to a medical emergency in the crowd.

Re: Where will we finish?

I went for 8th. We'll give it a go but I suspect the gap might be slightly too large, and more to the point I think not enough teams above us will drop the ball enough: we need four patsies and while Sunderland are imploding and Wycombe are off-form, McDons look good and I think Wednesday will have...

As an open question, are people happy with Izzy as back-up to Fossey (if he stays)? It would obviously be dependent on financial budgets and also of course which league we might be playing in; I'd have a very different answer if we did pull off consecutive miraculous promotions. He would probably b...

Re: Contract expiry

I've always considered potential and ceiling, with respect to a footballer's ability, to mean the same thing. What would the difference between the two words be?

Re: Stats

According to twitter win % with Gethin Jones playing is 61. Win % without is 14. Most important player? I think it speaks for itself. I genuinely think he’s our best defender. And clearly we struggle without him massively. He's clearly very influencial within the group and there can be no doubt we'...

An updated league table for the second half of the season (for what that's worth, and I think it's worth something) has us in first place on goal difference.

It can be found HERE.

Re: Storm Eunice

There were a few in our office today going home mid-afternoon "in case they cancel the trains". It had nothing to do with wanting an early start to the weekend, of course... After reading G.G's nightmare day, I think I may well have joined them (back a ways of course). Yes, but these were almost al...
