Am i right in thinking that this game will be available on Sky's red button?
Aye.

I think it'll be as tough as the Bristol City game.

1-1.
Sweet as a nut.

Fingers crossed Sam I Am is back for the Super Whites to put on another show for the cameras.

Re: You can't buy character; but you can apparently get it for free.

Some of these lads we've picked up this summer must have already become fairly valuable assets. In terms of resale value, Magennis would be £1m+, Lowe £1m+, Olkowski maybe £2m. Credit where it's due to our recruitment team.

100% away record! Haven't been behind all season. We're going up*! *We may not be going up but f*ck enjoy this while it lasts! Aye, I think I'd probably prefer an attainable top half finish for the season as a target and keep building both team and finances. If, by some miracle, we did go up, all t...

Assuming Sammy isn't fit to start I think it'll be the same team as last week, possibly Oz for Murphy but unlikely. P.P seems to be a bit cagey as to whether Sammi will figure? Not sure if this is gamesmanship or whether Sammi will show. He seems to have been training in some fashion. We sure don't...

Re: Carabao Yorks Nightmare. Leeds (A) 14/08/18

I mean, you could be right. Need more of a look at Pawel. Yeah lets judge him over a longer period as I'll be surprised if he keeps this form up. If he does then we'll struggle to keep him! If we're in a position where other clubs want to pay us lots of money for him then that's perfectly fine. Olk...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

True. And another thing about ALF - who's gonna replace him? Another Tyler Walker? We've lost a fantastic impact sub - one of the best in this league - and I have no faith that we'll end up with anything better than Keshi Anderson. We're bollocked if Magennis stops scoring. You'd hope we've someone...

Re: Bolton Under 23's the Champs.

The U23s kicked off their season with a 3-1 victory against Bristol City last night. Sounds like we've got a couple of real promising lads coming through (Politic and Navarro particularly) who hopefully will be given a chance to get games at senior level (here or on loan) this season.

Also denied by Iles, but the French youngster seems to be a goer. I'd guess no one on here will have ever seen him play, but maybe Mullayo can give his statistical breakdown...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

https://everton.vitalfootball.co.uk/everton-youngster-the-best-in-world-football/ Darth Vader starred for Wigan on the weekend - I watched the highlights he really did. They're calling him "the best in world football". Gutting. He didn't score. And Wildschut, Wigan's top target and former player di...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

The 'keeper issue is becoming a tad ridiculous, by the sounds of it. Walker was supposed to be sorted and then left. Camp was supposedly a done deal, then he seems to have also gone. Left back is understandable, as we were left in the lurch by the looks of it - but 'keeper needs sorting. Iles sugge...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

Re my comment about pace, I had completely forgotten Wildschut. However, I still think we are lacking speed in most positions (which isn't the same as saying all our players are slow). Are people expecting any of our youngsters to get regular time this year? There was a lot of positivity around the...

We have no pace in our squad, which is really worrying for me. I would hope and think that Parky/Anderson/whoever are monitoring loan and permanent signings who will address this issue.

Unbelievable result yesterday which really gives me faith in the players we've already brought in. Now let's kick on and bring in some more quality so we can make a real fist of it this year.

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

Here's the teamlist from last year's season opener VS my preferred teamlist this year. Ironically, the three ones that are the same at the back are the ones that I'm most worried about. Italics are better players, Bold the same --------------------Howard---------------- Darby--Dervite--- Wheater---B...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

I know Jay DaSilva is highly rated at Chelsea, and certainly on reputation is considered a better player than Antoneeeeee. I've never actually seen him play, but he seems like exactly the sort of guy we need in on loan. Charlton player of the year, described as better than Ashley Cole at same age (...
