Robert Harris TD? Read most of his stuff and really enjoyed it but not that book so much. Didn't bother with the film. Currently watching a bit of Piranha DD so my taste is questionable to say the least. What a load of bollocks!

Re: What are you playing tonight?
Just been listening to Aerosmith's debut album. Didn't realise they go as far back as '73, and that they didn't always write cheesy rock ballads but rather top notch blues rock. Like it very much, 'Dream On', what a song.

Re: Freedman out!
Coyle is a better manager than Freedman. He's doing a much better job at Wigan than Freedman has done so far this season, that would be..... errr... because Freedman hasn't had the chance to do a job at Wigan?? :conf: Freedman has the lowest win percentage in the league you keep saying that - over ...

Re: PLYMOUTH'S stupendously all singing dancing transfer thr
Brum's manager last week claimed he wasn't blaming two of his players for letting us score. They commited no sins . There was nothing to blame them for. The defender got turned and left for pace once by Beckford who scored and the keeper misjudged a ball for our second. Neither offence was a sackin...

Re: The athletics/running thread
Glad to hear HG is on the mend, sounds like a good evening's work GtE. In a similar vein I'm now having a post track session Newcastle Brown (or two).
mrkint, another time! Not sure I could handle meeting 2 men off the internet at once anyway.

Re: PLYMOUTH'S stupendously all singing dancing transfer thr
They've been shit for 2 managers and the sooner we get rid the better. We can't keep going with overpaid wankers cruising along for a pay packet. I don't care whether they've got England caps or once showed 'Premier quality'. They're dragging the place down, ship them out and then hose down the dres...

Re: The athletics/running thread
Well done on the PB at Bolton GtE. Great stuff. LeverEnd - 4th at Gin Pit  A great time & place. That's top running on a course I found (last year) to be particularly dull & uninspiring  Thanks HG, agree on the course. How's the injury coming along? Enjoying running round Rivington sin...

Plate meat pie at the old dear's. Brings back memories of childhood and her regular baking days. Which I have never replicated.

You should start The Walking Dead if you haven't seen it. I can't get enough of it, just started season 3. I'm waiting on Dexter being released, got the first season of Homeland to start and quite fancy Orange is the New Black. Got just the final ever episode of Dexter to watch, it's been good but ...

Re: Liam Feeney
You can have a strategy, but if it's not working you try something else. If that doesn't work you lose your job. This isn't some sort of finishing school for budding managers. There's only any point in persisting with him if you think he has what it takes to 'get us back on track', which he was bro...

That's fecking impressive mate! Whilst we're doing impressive though, Mr Kipsang, take a bow. 26 4 minute 43 miles. I couldn't even nearly do one. Thanks guys. As for Kipsang, tremendous running. Mo Farah has apparently targeted the first sub 2hr marathon. No chance of that happening but I d...

Re: Liam Feeney
Danns was doing the running that our so called 'talented players' don't fancy doing. So he worked back when needed and supported Beckford when needed. Which involved a lot of running and effort. Was it an eye catching display? No, but it was a very much needed display in a role that we've found oth...

Well done on the PB. Got 4th at the Gin Pit 5M trail race this morning in 28:25. Wasn't happy with the way I raced it but time confirms I'm getting fitter.Gary the Enfield wrote:I bet it's not.
