Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?

Which is quite right by me. What if, say, Bradford lose narrowly in the play-offs and Chorley lad Phil Parkinson, the league's fifth-longest-serving manager, decides he wants a change? Meanwhile we've rushed into appointing Kevin Nolan overseen by Peter Reid... I agree completely, I just wish that ...

I believe the non-filing of accounts is ther reason the embargo hasn't been lifted yet. The reason the embargo was placed is because we didn't have a pot to piss in or a window to shit out of.

Re: The breaking News thread...

I'll put this here, just for shitz and giggles, there is a rumour doing the rounds that we've not paid Blumarble on time... Rumour denied by the club, per BN . ...sources at the club have refuted claims the first payment on a loan taken out from BluMarble Capital Ltd during the takeover is now late...

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?

On* the BN today : Stubbs not near top of patient Wanderers' shortlist. ... it is thought (Stubbs) does not feature in their current plans ... Although impatience is growing among the fans, Wanderers continue to take a watching brief on their new manager. Their shortlist is affected by a number of f...

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?

To me, one of the most important boxes to tick is lower-league knowledge. I believe his only lower-league experience was at Plymouth, and that didn't go very well. At all.

Re: The End - Fulham (A) 07/05/16

Regarding this wage cap. I thought (I may have dreamed it) that not all of our player contracts would count towards the 6m cap due to when they were signed. I think Amos was one of them. Arrangements are in place whereby clubs are allowed to exclude the wage costs of all players that the club signe...

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?

Anyway, back to the manager hunt: Charlton have been granted permission to talk to Chris Wilder . Hmmmm Surprising perhaps that Wilder, said to be after a move to Yorkshire, is happy to talk to Charlton. Mind you, that's where Iain Dowie went after leaving Palace to be nearer his family in Bolton.....

Re: The End - Fulham (A) 07/05/16

Just for interest sake D.S.B, just how much does the tax man take of those weekly figures? As far as I can see, for the fiscal year 2016/17 those paid over £150,000 per year (£3kpw) get taxed at 45% on that top bit, 40% on the bit between £32,000 and £150,000 and 20% on the bit up to £32,000. So Da...

Re: The End - Fulham (A) 07/05/16

I don't hate Pratley (you gotta work at hate). If he were on £1k per week/£2k per week, then he'd be a fairly limited "squaddie" who we might need to roll out, from time to time because he was all we had and people would still say "oh fcuk it's Pratley". The problem is he's probably on the lower en...

Re: The End - Fulham (A) 07/05/16

I don't hate Pratley. There aren’t many people I hate, and they tend to have done much worse things than Being Shit At Football. As Prufrock pontificated as we perambulated past Putney Bridge, Pratley’s problem is that several successive managers appear to think he’s a No.10 when in fact he has an e...

Re: The End - Fulham (A) 07/05/16

I'm just saying, my position is that under no circumstances should we negotiate with so-called Darren Pratley. I'm not against a bombing campaign to be honest. :D But there is a clear and present Darren-danger, with reports expecting him to be around for at least two years. Maybe we'll just have to...

Leather was a physio. Not sure that Taylor is medically trained himself, didn't he head up the performance team? Leather's listed on the site – for now – as Head of Sports Performance. http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/garyparkinson1974/Screen%20Shot%202016-05-10%20at%2014.16.22_zpsoqltdf8g....

http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/etc/ Decks being cleared. I'm not sure the headline is entirely helpful. Surely everyone realised this was happening? Perhaps the communication is poor, but there isn't a good way to tell people they're out of a job. Agreed – probably needn't have told them on Friday....

And how much has the income of Premier clubs, particularly Arsenal, gone up? And is the manager under more pressure?

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?

This "coup". The only reference was thusly, in the BN : Wanderers are being as thorough as possible in their search and, thus far, only one candidate has met directly with both Ken Anderson and Dean Holdsworth – described to The Bolton News yesterday as “a potential coup” to the club. Note that it's...
