Missed Matches
We've all talked about games that meant a great deal to us but what were the games you missed and would have given anything to be there? I remember being heart broken that my Dad said I was too young to go to Everton in the 1977 League cup semi 1st leg. Particularly, when the following morning, even...

Re: General Chit Chat
Good for you Bob. :) Anyway now I am back from holiday - will bore you with some pics later - I am turning my mind towards a new dog. For various reasons I don't want a huge gap between Milo and the new one. Milo can never be replaced but I hate living without a dog, just feels wrong. we don't want...

Re: The athletics/running thread
Due to work and other commitments I was struggling to fit my runs in these last few weeks so yesterday and today I managed to drag myself out of bed at 6am and got out and did 6 miles both days. Never done it before but found it a great way to wake up, start work quite refreshed and my evenings are ...

Re: Coyle's top 3 signings
If we'd lined up at Wembley with Holden/Muamba we'd probably have made the FA Cup Final, The maddest thing I've ever, EVER, read on here Why? We had a better team than Stoke before Holden was injured. We were 6th in the table several places above Stoke because we had a team that got better r...

Re: owen out 2012/2013
The Andrews quote in the MEN piece is quite telling "We need to get back to basics. The players and the manager" Perhaps I'm reading too much into it but if you didn't have a problem with the boss wouldn't you have just said "as a club"?

Agreed. Surely the point of any transfer is to bring in better than what you've got? I don't think anyone could reasonably argue that Coyle has done that.plymouth wanderer wrote:My point is Coyle is shit in the transfer Window there is value for money out there if ya look hard enough others seem to

Re: owen out 2012/2013
Gartside's tweet (I have to say that's a pretty unprofessional way to communicate anything as important as this) suggest that they will give him longer ... but clearly an exit is in their thoughts. As there is no way he'll turn this round he's a dead-man walking right now. You know, it's good we ar...

1) Holden
2) Eagles
3) Petrov
In reality though his best signing (for him) was his contract, It seems to mean we cant get rid of him!

Anyone who can defend Coyle's transfer dealings on the basis he had to reduce costs, is clearly forgetting he spent £6m on 2 substitutes!

Re: The athletics/running thread
Did the Blackpool Half this morning. Not sure of my final time but once again failed to break 1.40. Ran with a Garmin today and probably let it dictate my run a bit too much. As a result I set off too fast and didn't finish as strong as I usually do. To be honest though I probably hadn't been traini...

Re: owen out 2012/2013
4 games guys... grow up. In my eyes it's only acceptable to start saying things like this if you can suggest a likely replacement. The only half decent suggestion I've seen on this forum is Billy Davies. I really like him but to be calling for Owen's head so soon is embarrassing. The way I see it i...

Re: If Coyle gets the sack
Out of interest, has Ray Wilkins ever had a crack at management? Yes. After he'd said he wouldn't manage in the lower divisions because he had no experience at that level, he took QPR down whilst Caretaker, and was an unmitigated disaster for them in the 2nd tier when they gave him the job. Avoid.
