Re: The Politics Thread
^^ Yeah, I know you'd have been at the tail end of food stamps mate, we all had outside bogs, nothing like central heating etc. but don't let that stop anyone telling you how good you got it. Touche.. ae:) Was recognition, not a swipe, TD. :-) Oh, I saw that Worthy  Seems a bit strange...

Re: The Politics Thread
I think broadly it's fair to say current pensioners have a better deal than anyone younger than them will ever have. I'm really cautious about "generational warfare" or the grim trend of pitting generations against each other. It isn't pensioners fault. It's a maths problem from the 40s. The stage ...

Re: The Politics Thread
The fishermen/women were fecked over when they voted for Boris and his chums and the subsequent oven ready deal (which was a rebranded hash of the May one that he said was shit). The new deal is no worse for said fishermen/women and actually improves their ability to sell their catches. If you real...

Re: The Politics Thread
I think the deal today sums up a lot of Labour’s problems. The deal is something that has been secured way above the expectations of people if you go back a year and see the questions to Labour about ‘how it could get a deal Ben the EU weren’t interested and that it would take years’. The concessio...

Re: The Politics Thread
As predictable as it is mental. On what possible planet are we "virtually back in the EU"?! The planet where people never understood what the EU was nor what membership of it entailed. That one. Yeah the same planet as the globalist, secret commies, who hate free markets unless they control them to...

As predictable as it is mental. On what possible planet are we "virtually back in the EU"?! We will be able to use e-gates again. What a fcuking disaster. I'd much rather be waiting in a long queue, scowling at all the Johnny Foreigners passing through seamlessly, whilst singing Rule Britannia. Wow...

Virtually back in the EU, thank you Starmer, you undemocratic, thinly veiled bar steward. When you fall, I hope it's from a great height.

Oh, I'd love to know where all these jobs are to 'grow' the workforce seeing youth employment is starting to dive. Ah well, carry on with your globalist nonsense.

Re: General Chit Chat
Had a trip out to Portmahomack, lovely little place then hopped up to Tarbet Ness lighthouse, got some stunning pics there. Not busy places weekdays this time of year would dread to think what that little road is like in the summer/sunny weekends.

Re: The Politics Thread
Money leaving the UK economy is money leaving, just don't get it do you Mr EU obsessed. So we shouldn't be able to spend our money on what the hell we want to? There are items and goods that have to be purchased from overseas, I agree, but the vast majority of stuff could be produced in this countr...

Re: General Chit Chat
Had a trip round to Cromarty yesterday and found probably the best bakery in Scotland, it was excellent. Funny thing is we got talking to another English couple from Derby who raved about it as well. Have you spotted the 'Scottish' premium yet? I buy in a lot of what are classed as fine foods and t...

Steady on Hobes. If there is a name caller in chief on here its you. The whole win/lose thing is actually the problem. Its not about winning or losing as populists would have you believe. Its about choosing to do things based on logic and common sense, whether that is in or out. The problem remaine...

Re: The Politics Thread
'British workers come last': Fury as employers who hire Indian workers are given a major tax break under Labour's free trade deal' Ahhh, Labour, the party of the working man, well, as long as you ain't a native of these shores that is. It’s not a tax break it’s allowing temporary workers (ones not ...
