Does anybody actually ever give a flying feck about the 3rd v 4th game in any competition at all, the world over? :conf: In the football world cup I would'nt watch it. However this is test match rugby and players give their all. The Pumas put in a great performance, soaked up the early French press...

All I'm saying is that there's a reason that he isn't picked to demonstrate his 'genius' for the full 80 mins. Same as Ole Gunnar Solksjaer. I see that Michalak has been selected to start the 3rd/4th place game. With reference to Lionel Beauxis, he has hardly done much wrong to warrant being dropped.

And what does 'playing some rugby' actually mean anyway? Michalak would do well to think about what it is about his own game that means he isn't picked to start for France. In fairness, that's tactical I think. When he comes on he usually produces something and turns games round. Fully agree, the F...

The 1995 final the Springboks were up for the challenge and looked to nail Lomu when they got chance.

We played well, but I don't actually think we were made to play as well as I thought it would take to beat them. We were lucky when they had a three man overlap down the left side and Sackey had to take the gamble of coming in off his wing (which we wingers are coached not to do) and wrapping up ru...

Awesome. Watched it in an Irish pub in Utrecht rammed full of Aussies. They didn't give us a hope before kick-off but they all trundled out quietly or blaming the Irish ref. Ideally I'd like France to play out of their skins tonight, sneak one past NZ, and then not show up against us. I saw at leas...

I was a season ticket holder at Burnden in the Manny Road North Terrace (great days!). There were quiet a few incidents of note! One incident that I remember fondly was when we played Man City in Div 1 and beat them 1-0. During the game city nearly scored and 2 city fans identified themselves at tha...
