Re: Italian Restaurant in Bolton

There isn't an Italian restaurant anywhere in the world that can cook a meal that comes even close to a half decent curry. Pasta and tomato sauce, my arse. You do realise 'Italian' doesn't mean cheesey garlic bread and a pepperoni pizza from a shop that specialises in keebabs, don't you? Curry is g...

Re: The Politics Thread

Apart from about only, like, six trials a decade actually going to a jury trial, sounds good :D. I didn't say it had to be a jury trial. :-) We could use it for adjudications, tribunals and all sorts. Leaving it to people with legal training and backgrounds obviously doesn't work very well, as they...

Re: Lottery

Other examples of things light heartedly (but not seriously) referred to as idiot taxes may include homoeopathy* and fortune tellers^, although that they are less regular than the National Lottery probably means they don't fit as well. *Not an actual tax ^Not an actual tax. Can you tell me how much...

We could stick to facts here . We've played 14 halves of prem football and looked totally clueless for 12 of them. Not "we've played great, but just come up against much more expensive players whose class showed through", not even got the basics right. Team selection, team organisation, first half ...

Re: Lottery

Fook me this is hard work. I'm aware, in case you are labouring under some bizarre misapprehension, that the national lottery is not an actual tax. I get that. Not covered by the tax office. Or NI. Or any other thing to do with real tax. It isn't, legally, a tax. I wasn't suggesting it was a real t...

Never been though, never heard anything other than top praise for it. On the list I think!
Would get my vote too as would Bella Vista in Milnrow near Hollingworth Lake (although it's been a fair while since I've been there)

Re: The Politics Thread

I think all statute should be subject to the That's Bollocks Act 2011. Under this Act, either the defence or the prosecution can have a that's bollocks time out three times per case, where it would be referred to a separate jury to adjudicate whether the particular problem referred to them is bolloc...

I'm having a bit of a re-chug through Oblivion. Still a great game. There will be fights over who owns my Xbox when Skyrim comes out. Unless I get access rights to the PS3

New PAYE Coding. K103, the bastards. I thought we were meant to spending less, not squeezing more out of the taxpayer. I'm voting Greens next time. c*nts! :( Doesn't K mean you've underpaid? No, it means I've got a negative tax code (although I can see that people who have underpaid would end up wi...

Re: What are you eating and drinking tonight?

Are we talking carrots in the shallow end? One of my twins may have been a teeny bit sick in the pool today owing to getting over excited and trying to drink the pool water... One of Gooner Girl's twins was as sick as a pike today having been force-fed Gooner Girl's toad in the hole. Such was the m...

Alton Towers. Its October, the kids are at school its cheap and the weather should be shit. Apart from the unseasonably midsummer weather, everything else came together perfectly. All the major rides, at least 3 or 4 times. Some more than that. And throw in a go on quite a few of the make-weights, ...

Re: Coyle out?

Is anyone of the opinion that we should keep Coyle even if we are relegated? Fook no, we can't afford to go down. If it looks like we are in danger over the next few weeks, and I suggest the next two games are a great barometer then we need to get a more savvy and experienced option in! Can't risk ...

A Michael fecking Buble tribute night at the Albert Halls for us this year, I kid ye not!. They're all terrifed of going anywhere outside of Bolton town centre for fear of enjoying themselves. I shall be mostly propping up the bar in the other room once I have eaten the shite food on offer. Hope it...

I remember the corner. I think it has a street lamp on it, and both the corner and the street lamp are still there.

Hope this helps.

If you could see it on google maps, you might be able to get the name of it and ring 'em up... :-)

Re: Bolton vs Chelsea

Agree with much of that Pru, although Peter Schmeichal (?) would probably look a bit fooking shakey behind our defence at the minute. N'Gog. Not sure about him at the minute (without being negative), but like Pratley, Eagles and Tuncay, I'm not sure what exactly they do at the minute. Petrov, I've b...
