Re: January 2023 Transfer Window
[/quote] Yeah, that makes sense in terms of what I posted earlier about local stuff. Also note that a number of the Luton folks are talking about his willingness to commit to the long term project and coaching stuff - that ties in with all the stuff that's been floating around about how things might...

Re: January 2023 Transfer Window
To be fair gents, we probably/might have no choice here.
Its all well and good to be unenthused, but - through no fault of our own - we are desperate and not in a strong position.
Its very easy to criticise, but i haven't seen many alternatives put forward....

On the match - we were fantastic. I'm not overstating that, we were absolutely fecking magnificent. I am livid with Kachunga, but the idea he was a passenger is just people seeing through the lens of their dislike for him. You do not perform as a team like that if everyone on the pitch isn't doing ...

On the finances, it's not just about numbers of players. This is wild speculation but you'd think Dapo and Baka would both in the second quarter of earners (I think having both last signed contracts the summer we came up, as forwards). So I'm guessing in the top earners then overtaken over time. ) ...

Can't be. His Wikipedia page has had Bolton (loan) removed from it now.....nicholaldo wrote: ↑Sun Jan 15, 2023 5:59 pmI'm assuming the potential signing Iles is referring to isn't the rumoured Borges as he described it as a new name.
I'm not sure who else it could be though, unfortunately.

Superb performance that, to a man. Shame to see DadBod limp off as the way he presses and harries is brilliant, but pleasing to see Dan replace him and continue in similar fashion. Back 3 immense once again. Toal is turning out to be a hell of a find. Morley all over the place once again - not seen ...

We dominated the game against an ex-Championship team who came to play for a draw.
Frustrating, yes. But not too concerning yet.
Next 4 games are against teams 17th and below. Lets judge where we are after those...

Utter shite. Promotion - not a chance. Woah there! Slight overreaction me thinks... Reality check please. We're still 6th, and win our game in hand we go joint 3rd. We're 3rd in the last 5 form table with 4 wins and a loss. 12 points out of 15. We're tracking just below the 2 points per game target...

I couldn't give a monkey's where he says he thinks we should finish when judging success this season. Even leaving aside that he's a gobshite generally (*our* gobshite, mind) he's all into the management pseudo-bollocks on setting high standards and pressure being a privilege and all that. I'd have...

Out of interest - why does it need to be a serious push for promotion? We've only had 1 season back in League 1 and not sure we have any god-given right to be competing at the top do we? Don't get me wrong - I think we've made massive strides in terms of infrastructure, stability & squad quality and...

Isn't there something about Geneva airport and whether you come out in France or Switzerland and drastically different charges? Think so - or there always used to. Something to do with the car either being hired in France or Switzerland, and the charges you'd then have to pay if you took it to the ...

FFS. Give it a rest will you. OK, so an ex-player that none of us has any interest in anymore has set up a company and called it the same as some city somewhere else in the world. Get over it will you and stop posting your random cryptic comments about things completely unrelated to the main subject...

Ever the optimist: on the plus side - if there is one with this news - does that increase our chances of securing him for next season and not losing him to someone else do we think?

Maybe you'll have to treat me with the disdain I obviously deserve and as the idiot I clearly am, but - whilst I am fully aware of the Corrie reference - I still don't know why it was remotely worth mentioning Holdsworth's "new" (well, formed 6 months ago....) company with such hilarity?? What's so hilariously funny about forming a company with £1 share capital?? Doesn't mean a thing and it is ludicrously common...... Poor old Dave, or is it Rodney?
