Re: Pied and Prejudice, Wigan (A) 27/02/04.
Aye, so you've been saying all season Insane...... If its a weak league then we are, sadly, part of that weakness. We've lost points to too many bottom-half teams, I admit that. We've conceded too many goals - especially soft goals, I admit that as well. However, we're still third/potentially second...

Ha - and once we've played Barnsley and smashed them off the park (with a goal each from our useless liabilities** Vic, Collins and Geth), we'll be reet......
** would a useless liability actually be pretty good - ie useless at being a liability??

Re: Pied and Prejudice, Wigan (A) 27/02/04.
We are 3rd in the table. Win our game in hand and we go 2nd. Just saying like...... But yes, let's sack the whole team, and the coaching staff as we're clearly such a disgrace. Football fans will never cease to amaze me..... So you’re confident we are finishing in the top 2? I didn't say that, but ...

How many reds does that make that he's had overturned? I can think of at least 2 - this one and the one against Morecambe a couple of seasons back?

Why do you think he's being targeted & bullied?
Maybe something to do with being widely regarded as one of - if not the - best players in the division????

Re: North by North West. Away to Blackpool Sat 24th Feb, 3-0'clock
Team I’d play at Wigan…. Coleman Jones Toal Iredale Ashworth Dempsey Thomason (if fit) Maghoma Vic Charles CMG Front three. Vic on the left. Play up to him. Win second balls. Play from there. Bring CMG into the game cutting in from the right. Compact and simplify the game. You wouldn’t play either ...

Re: Red cards and Red Kits, Bolton v Charlton - 17th Feb 2024 3pm
It’s interesting how many of our fans in the ground and on social media seem to really not like Maghoma. I think he’s a fantastic player who is very inconsistent. If he weren’t inconsistent he’d not be playing at league one level. There are things like his work off the ball he can improve. But I th...

Re: Dem Bones, Dem Bones, Dem Bare Bones....
We need to learn from this. All that matters the only metric this season that defines success or failure is whether we are promoted at the end of it. That’s always been the case and still is. The risks we’ve taken are poor ones for meaningless games. Santos stands out as the most stupid but there a...

I'd be surprised if he got "hauled" off as a result of his performance. Of the 2 strikers, Vic was far better than Collins today

Knob head "fans" booing the team off at half time. Like that's going to help... Yeah it’s the fans fault. Maybe if we were watching something that was even remotely acceptable. Perhaps some real grit and effort? It’s been awful so far. Let’s not sugarcoat it. Paying to watch this? Unacceptable. Oh ...

Starter for 10..... Coleman JDC Jones Toal Iredale Ashworth Sheehan Maghoma Dempsey Collins JDB 3-1 to us. JDB carry on his "rich" scoring vein / Collins off the mark / CMG off the bench to score Santos &/or Forrester to come on for a 10 minute cameo at the end to shore up the defence Will also stic...

i know i thought that was a soft goal to concede at the time, but not sure I was aware that we had the whole of our team in our box (well, including Dion, who might just have his toe on the line..) - v 6 of theirs - and we still got nowhere near it!!!

Re: Wandering, Why come back home? Bolton v Wycombe - 13th Feb 2024 19:45pm
We're clearly not firing on all cylinders but last night we were missing our sweeper-keeper, our skipper and our midfield lynchpin, while our star striker continues to try to fight his way out of a rut. Considering that, we did well to win. Hopefully it gives us the confidence to do so again on Sat...
