Re: No'neills - QPR (A) 3/10/15

Not really... we are just too soft. It's the opposite of the 'we'll score one more than you' attitude... we'll always let them score one more than we have.

Does that mean a shift to a 3? Or is Wheater filling in on the right (I think he's done that before?)...

EDIT: Tango has provided the relevant info... Prince at RB doesn't seem too bad he seems the athletic sort that would be okay in a full back position.

Re: If carlsberg did transfer threads.....This would be it!

I'd be a little wary of Kermorgant in that whilst he has shown to be a decent player in this division at both Charlton and Bournemouth, he is 33 and certainly at Bournemouth he was playing in a team that was getting the best out of all those players and it may be that he was a beneficiary of other p...

Madine's goal and Lennon going mental: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpXhkQ0sBLA&feature=youtu.be :D It's so nice to see that because it shows how much Madine's misfiring has been weighing on the manager as well because he's backed him all the way, so getting that breakthrough and rescuing a poin...

Re: Will we open up to the Hove's fitness? Brighton 26/9

Full time. Glad we got one back. Stats and reports indicate we've been doing well. I would dearly f*cking love Madine to equalise. From a Feeney cross ;-) Goal! Bolton Wanderers 2, Brighton and Hove Albion 2. Gary Madine (Bolton Wanderers) header from the centre of the box to the bottom left corner...

Re: Will we open up to the Hove's fitness? Brighton 26/9

It's just so frustrating how soft we can be... All that possession and no lack of shots on target and they score with their first one and then hit us again a few minutes later.

It's like we give every opponent an ice hockey-style powerplay period...

One shot on target and they score... We need to be more ruthless looks like we've had all of the best play so far.

Re: No Nonsense... 'Uddersfield (A) 19/Sep/15

Yeah, I said last week that Wilson was our weak link. Where the frig are Pisano and Casado? Pisano won't be match fit yet... he spent all summer at home waiting for a club so it'll take a little bit longer to have him available. I expect him to waltz into the team when ready though as he's surely a...

Concussion is a strange one, very dependant on the individual and the incident... he must've come through the doctor's checks with no problem.

Re: What a hoot - Sheff Wed (H) 15/09/15

I think we'll win. Getting that first one under our belt on Saturday was just the thing we needed... first we've mostly played well without getting the results, and now we've got that first win it should give that extra bit of freedom and confidence to our play.

3-0

Re: Players you wished we'd kept

Recently Cahill was probably the main one... defenders as good as him are hard to come by and we let him far too cheaply without any hope of adequately replacing him. Also would suggest we could've fought more to keep Anelka another season or so. It felt like he was just getting started with us befo...

Nor, I imagine, is Robert Enkes widow What's the story there? Lack of support or worse? I remember his tragic suicide, very sad. He publicly vilified him, alienated him and made him train with the youth team after dropping a clanger in which they lost.. That was the 'trigger' if you like His experi...

Re: If carlsberg did transfer threads.....This would be it!

Here's a thought. If the wage bill is £20million a year as I think I read somewhere on here and it 's accepted that we are just short of a half decent striker to give us a chance of getting in the play-offs, would the first team squad accept a pay cut of say 10% providing that the money saved was s...
