Re: Greg Clarke resigns
So 'people of colour' is OK, but 'coloured people' isn't. Who actually decides this? When we were growing up 'coloured' was the accepted or polite term for non-whites. I know things change but I do think he was harshly treated if that was the only reason. He does sound a bit of a tool though. It is...

Don't know anything about him and never seen him play, but if he's after first team football I'll pay for his cab to the UniBol myself.
That's a broken link.

Re: Crellin vs Rachubka
Pre Rioch, theres a few contenders for the goalkeeper's shirt, but since he's similar to Crellin (decent shot stopper, hopeless in the air), I'll start with wee Simon. Farnworth Whitworth Sutton Lydiate Deakin Bell Cantello Train Storer Rudge Moores I'd be squeezing Paul Comstive into that midfield...

Re: The Politics Thread
Joe Biden is going to be the oldest President ever. Only Reagan was a similar age but that was after his second term. I personally think he may not finish his full term meaning they could have their first female President. The fact that Biden has only just beaten Trump by the skin of his teeth says ...

Re: Summer 2020 transfers
From what I can gather by that video is that he like to turn players on the edge of his own box and fairly recklessly slide into tackles. Red cards and giving away penalties if he tries that with the crap refs we get.

Recommend everyone watches Adam Seniors interview. If ever there was a lad made up at simply playing for his hometown club that’s it. Really hope he does well and makes it here. When Dave Flitcroft was assistant, he asked for one of the academy squad players to show his face at my lads football tra...

He adds versatility can play CB or RB/LB in a back four which we might not play much but might sometimes. I think it’s shrewd. Experienced and knows Evatt. Have to say the club have absolutely excelled this summer. Getting a new management team squad together with more than a month to go and absolu...

And Tim Brooke-Taylor. If you don't listen to Radio 4 or were born early enough to watch The Goodies you may never of heard of him. A genuinely funny man and supposedly a nice person to boot. RIP.

There is a worldwide shortage of PPE. Every single hospital in the world wants it where previously they didn’t. What do you suggest we do? There are enough masks, aprons and gloves at most hospitals. The problem is there is not enough different size masks, especially small ones. If the doctors and ...

Peter Whittingham, former Cardiff, Aston Villa and Blackburn midfielder, has died aged 35. This follows an "accidental fall" (whatever that means) in a pub on 7th March. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11959208/peter-whittingham-former-cardiff-aston-villa-and-blackburn-midfielder-dies-...

I dont understand this talk of immunity as last week it was said it could be caught twice, so catching this once isn't like catching chicken pox :conf: I read an article yesterday about the same thing, HG. A tour guide in China was supposed to have caught it, recovered and caught it again. Unfortun...

Re: COVID-19/20 season
If anyone believes the season to begin again in August should give this a bit more thought. I can't see this virus disappearing in time for a new season, It could take over a year for this to clear and safe for folk to mix again. Life as we knew it doesn't exist and wont for a while yet. I won't vi...

Why did you do that us? I think you are sadistic.
To be honest, the second one one isn't much better. Again the strike is very good but to be able to control it like that in the area is poor. Ethan Hamilton was supposed to be marking the lad.

Given when he came people said Madine was shockingly bad...and given Murphys record and ability to still score goals...I reckon Parky would have walked over broken glass for Daryl Murphy. A 36-year-old Daryl Murphy? Soon to be 37 year old Daryl Murphy. Insane - DM has played at a higher level than ...

Isn't there already a Gender Recognition Act in legal force which I think covers matters such as boys who are girls and girls who are boys. Has been in place for pushing 20 years. What's new? Rebecca Long Bailey and Lisa Nandy have signed pledges supporting self-definition. In effect if you're tran...

Re: Day after St Valentines day massacre? Bolton v Wycombe Home, Sat 15th Feb. 3-o'clock.
My point was that we managed to get out of league one in an embargo and contrary to popular belief that squad wasn't packed with quality. Parky made the best of what we had. Hmmm. Again, I applaud him for what he did, but he had a lot of Championship-bought or even Premier League-bought players. He...
