Re: A Storm Brewing. Burton Albion V Bolton, Saturday Aug 26th 3 0'Clock,.

I was in the side stand on Saturday and didn't hear anything bad during or after the game. I can get a bit shouty during the game. "How's he feckin missed that?" in the 2nd half on Saturday in exasperation at Vics miss but not so loud and so pointedly at him that he'd have noticed. I'd like to thin...

I'd like to see JDC rested for Saturday but whether that means Jones or Randy switching over and a possible appearance by Dec John I dunno. I can't imagine they're playing a full strength side either, despite their need for a win and a confidence boost.

Re: The Rest of League One 23/24

https://twitter.com/SportsPeteO/status/1695886505758134534 Spotted that last night and I hope it comes to fruition. He's a pretty unlikeable chap but seemingly a good coach and he's already got Stevenage looking like a comfortable League 1 side. His departure would hopefully see them plummet and le...

That's another point we didn't get last season.
It was 1-1 last season too.

Re: The Rest of League One 23/24

Wigan just signed Steven sessegnon who can play either side at wing back. Feels like one we missed out on there. Agreed. It's another good signing for them in their recent history of picking up good young talent. I expect he'll do well for them and they'll pocket a decent fee for him in a year or t...

Just heading back. Feels like a missed opportunity- they're a poor side. A good side would be winning there

Iredale looking like a shadow of the player in pre season and first couple of games. Dacres Cogley and Maghoma the main bright spots

Re: A Storm Brewing. Burton Albion V Bolton, Saturday Aug 26th 3 0'Clock,.

Anyone else going to this tomorrow? I got tickets for me, Burnden Paddock and Bijou Bob in those heady, optimistic days prior to last Saturday. I can't imagine the atmosphere there being as toxic as it was when Parkys lot meekly surrendered 0-2, but go a goal down early, or any meekness this time an...

Narr it’s not getting any better, two consecutive 0-4 drubbings at home in derby matches. Anyone involved in both wants a literal kick in the bollocks. Those just here from Saturday get the away game for redemption. Set of cnuts. One of the saddest things about it all for me, is that before Saturda...

I'd almost be surprised if there isn't a bid for Charles.

Whether it's anywhere near his pricetag is a different question.
Aye and if it's not, will him missing out on a juicy championship contract affect his form and attitude for the next few months.

Re: Match Thread: Pasties and Pies - A Tasty affair! Bolton v Wigan (H) - Saturday 19th Aug / 12.30

That first one (the corner, I can't contemplate rewatching them) summed up a lot of what was wrong. Loose ball across the back, Iredale who appeared to be in a state of panic from the fast start and under no pressure, chests it out for a corner. Baxter either didn't shout or wasn't commanding his bo...

Re: Match Thread: Pasties and Pies - A Tasty affair! Bolton v Wigan (H) - Saturday 19th Aug / 12.30

If you can write today off as just 'one of those days' then fair enough and good luck to you. Personally, today I can't. Performances, individually and collectively were way off where they should have been, 4 years into the managers time here. The worry, and imo it's a reasonable one, is we've learn...

Re: Match Thread: Pasties and Pies - A Tasty affair! Bolton v Wigan (H) - Saturday 19th Aug / 12.30

We've all said it several times before and even Iles called it out today. A lack of bravery on the ball. Players too often looking for the easy sideways option. Coupled with our, too frequent, pedestrian counterattacks, meant we threatened nowt and couldn't get behind them. They came to win a footba...

Re: Match Thread: Pasties and Pies - A Tasty affair! Bolton v Wigan (H) - Saturday 19th Aug / 12.30

Crowd turned up. Players and coaches didn't. One or two looked frozen today, totally choked in the atmosphere and being pressed by good players. Fair play to Wigan. Better side by a country mile and their game management spot on. C*nts.

https://twitter.com/DarrenOWitcoop/status/1692255883877560423 . Wonder if we'll cast an eye over anyone. RWB Yiadom has always struck me as a player who'd suit Evatt's system; 31, though, so it would be a short-term solution. (Interesting that Derby are linked, despite already having grabbed Posh's...

Not a hill I'd wish to die on, to quote another poster on here, but to pretend they're not rivals or lesser than feckin Bury? Give over! We first met in the league 40 years ago this boxing day. In those 4 decades ( ) they've spent the bulk in the same division as us or 1 division above or 1 ...

Re: Match Thread: Pasties and Pies - A Tasty affair! Bolton v Wigan (H) - Saturday 19th Aug / 12.30

I hate Wigan. My formative years as a Wanderer aged 15 and upwards, saw them feature heavily. We won some, we lost some. The most important was the Freight Rover northern final. They were flying high in the 3rd division, we were in the bottom half and just a season away from going down. We won both...
