Re: Things can only get better - Aston Vila thread

If you think last year Fab and Stu were two of the top tacklers in the league - currently we have neither in there. I def think NRC and Stu would be a good partnership. I just think it leaves us slightly limited in terms of passing range, which is fine as long as the team is set up to keep moving an...

Re: Target for First 7 Games

Nope. Bolton are an absolute gift for teams with a poor run to break, a record to get rid of, defences in need of clean sheets and strikers in need of goals. Gift-wrapped and once opened roll over and ask for our bellies to be tickled. Arsenal will tonk us.

Re: The Official Knee-Jerk Thread

We never raise ourselves for the lower key games, never been the case. We only change if there's an early goal or positive incident like hitting the post or something that seems to wake everyone up a bit. And against the Big Boys, it's usually derision of the opposition that generates noise

Re: Things can only get better - Aston Vila thread

I think so, because for one we could unleash our line up of: ----------------Bogdan-------------- Boyata - Cahill - Wheater - Alonso Eagles Muamba M.Davies Kakuta ----------------Tuncay-------------- -----------------Ngog--------------- And out of the 6 or 7 changes in there, I think 4 or 5 have a g...

Re: Aaaaaaaaanyway, Norwich at Home.

As long as we all remember that we only lost 5-0 to United because of the gulf in money spent, and that we remember it's important to have all 11 men in the box at a corner/free-kick because stats say you're less likely to concede. DON'T PANIC This has to be a big wake up moment for Coyle. A big, bi...

Re: Rugby World Cup

Would love to know overall kicking stats for the competition to date because all the games I've seen there's been some shocking kicking. I know there was talk about new balls and stuff, but some shocking misses

Re: What are you playing tonight?

Finally got round to buying the Vaccines album, and it's superb. Saw them at Isle of Wight and they were a definite festival highlight.

Also got the new Drums album, which is essentially the same album as the first, but still good

Not too sure what remains to be said about the North West club scene that would translate to big screen

I don't know if I could avoid watching it if it was made, the series was so great. But fear car crash

Similar to a lot here, saw a lot of Lancashire in the 90s - went to a Benson and Hedges final, watched us out at Colwyn Bay and spent many an afternoon watching the many forms as an Old Trafford member. It's been easy to lose touch with the County Championship. The competition receives little covera...

Re: The Official Xbox 360 Thread

What I've always loved about Fifa is the different styles you can win and score with. I find Pro Evo too narrow in scope in terms of creating chances. My mates hated playing me cos I get it down the wing and score from loads of crosses. A Coyle dream-team you might imagine. Whereas some of them tit ...
