Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager
By the by, I don't think Freedman left high flying Palace for Bolton because he fancied taking a step back. I think he moved, because he believes there's more chance of impressing bigger clubs during an extended stay in the Premiership with Bolton, than a one season cameo with a Palace side rooted ...

Re: CYL stropped off down the tunnel
Are you REALLY suggesting our success wouldn't have happened had that one player stayed?  No. I'm suggesting that then, like now, folk were upset at losing a popular player. The fact was then (& now too, imo) we needed to put faith in the managers long term view. In Dougie I trust. Wel...

Re: CYL stropped off down the tunnel
Well it's very obvious that Petrov is already on his way out the club. A failure by the new management to 'manage' individuals. We cannot afford to lose one of our most creative players, in my opinion. To now look like he will ship out another and thus lose 2 is poor going. Two players who if 'mana...

Re: Sussex by the sea!
supposed to have Pretty much every team that gets relegated from the Premiership, become favorites at the bookies and are tipped by 'experts' to go straight back up. Half of them end up in League One or spend the next few years scrapping at the bottom. There's a reason they get releated in the firs...

Re: CYL stropped off down the tunnel
Well here's a thing. One asumes Freedman has a plan, whether it's a good plan or not we shall see given time. One thing I hope for sure, is that his plan doesn't include adapting his plan to accomodate the moods and personal fancies of any individual. I'm happy to trust his judgement until this time...

Difficult to understand why Davies and Gartside would plump for a dickhead that doesn't own a magic wand!!

As someone once said, it's a funny old game.

Plenty of nice folk though, it's always the case.

If anyone wants a positive, maybe this.
Folk are getting bits of themselves in the way in a manner I'm not sure they would have six weeks ago.
Just a thought.

Re: Sussex by the sea!
I wonder what's been happening all week.
Surely Freedman and his mates haven't been doing coaching type stuff and asking things of people that might give them a purpose come Saturday!
I thought Monday to Friday was PARTY TIIIIMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEE.

Re: Sussex by the sea!
And this from Alex Bysouth of Mancunian Matters.
"But Freedman – who offloaded several youngsters on loan this week, including England Under-21 forward Marvin Sordell – feels he is starting to recognise who fits into his squad."
In fairness, at least he knows where Brighton play these days.

Re: Marv claming Millwall fans were racist...
I was wondering if anyone had considered the lads mental health. Professional footballers, after all, are only people that happen to be good at football.
As for match fitness, surely it's called that because it only comes with playing matches.

Re: Sussex by the sea!
Looks as though things may be going horribly wrong this weekend!
According to Kieran Evans at Click Lancashire, Dougie's taking the lads to Withdean tomorrow!!
And as we all know, if it's in the press, it must be true.
