Re: Should Phil Parkinson be sacked?

We're not doing the basics and that's down to the manager. We don't keep our shape when not in possession and we're too pedestrian going forward with the ball. We had just 10 minutes at the start of the second half when we moved the ball quickly enough. How many of our passes went backwards today - ...

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )

Ken's hoping supporters will suspend their critical reasoning when it comes to buying tickets and act like fans, rather than consumers. As a product, what he's offering at the moment is nothing short of sh*te. He's offering nothing in terms of reassuring us that The Tinkerman will ever pick a settle...

Re: Out of the Forest and up to Le Moors.. Notts Forest Home, Wed, 24th Oct 8-0 .

The Tinkerman strikes again. PP clearly has no idea what his best side is and the pre match comments suggest we start matches looking to be unadventurous and play safe. It's not working. The pressure will really be on PP if we get less than 3 points at weekend, but I'm not sure we could afford to sa...

Re: Out of the Forest and up to Le Moors.. Notts Forest Home, Wed, 24th Oct 8-0 .

I'm considering a half ST and the next few performances will make be making that decision for me. £27 for a ticket in the North Lower is still too much for a midweek Championship match and on that basis, I'll be listening to the wireless. I can only see something of a drubbing tonight and if we're o...

I'm actually very up beat about this one, for some unknown reason. I'm calling it 1-3 to us and I'm going to be very disappointed if Marc Iles' first question to PP afterwards isn't,

"So Phil, you've come straight from the dressing room, are you able to confirm the rumours surrounding josh Magennis"?

...and I'm giving up the booze when beer hits ten bob a pint! You have a choice in that matter Enoch. Personally, if I walked into a pub and it was a fiver a pint, I wouldn't have a pint as it doesn't hold that much value for me. Everything, even beer, has a critical price point at which folk will ...

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )

So, on the one hand, Ken expects me to spend my hard earned money on an exhorbitant ticket, whilst on the other hand slipping money into his back pocket from the club. 1. I'm not about to pay more than £25 for a football ticket. 2. If it's £25 but I then have to join a 1 hour, 300 meter queue before...

We're third with two away wins.I'll take that, all day, every day. For as long as possible.

Re: MATCH THREAD: Into the great unknown. Bristol City (H) -11th Aug, 2018

And another thing.......£3.10 for a fecking pie??! I had our kid's ST today, but cheapest ticket for the match today was £28 I think. In order to pick it up, Ken is now expecting me to queue for over an hour. Given that with fuel, parking, a pint and a butty, I'd have no change from 50 quid, he's no...

Re: MATCH THREAD: Into the great unknown. Bristol City (H) -11th Aug, 2018

PP got it badly wrong today for me. First half we were way too pedestrian and allowed them to regroup in front of us on the rare occasions we had possession. If you're going to play a holding front man, your supporting midfielders have to get beyond him. No matter how hard Maggenis worked, no one ev...

A cagey 1-1 draw for me. Let's be honest, anything better than 2 points from the first 11 matches is an improvement!

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

Neither Vela nor Ameobi will ever play in the Premier League, barring a Madine like transfer fluke. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that none of our current crop (To be fair, I haven't see Oztumer yet) will ever play higher than the level they are at right now. That's quite a sad and startling judg...

Re: Today I'm angry about.....

Next door neighbour's daughter had her 18th birthday party last night. Here goes I thought, a night of sh*te music, clouds of wacky baccy smoke drifting over, the inevitable fight at midnight and no sleep until 3am. Instead, I had a night full of Abba, Michael Jackson and Taylor Swift, no one got pi...

Re: 2018/19 Fixtures...

Aaand back on topic....... Looking at the fixtures brings into cold, sharp relief just how difficult a season it's going to be. I'm struggling to find 3 teams that are substantially weaker than us (As we stand) and a poor start this year would be even harder to recover from. Interesting that 4 of ou...

Bugger, no matches in Portugal. Apparently a couple of games were mooted in Denmark, but Ken's wallet wouldn't stretch to that. Shame that, isn't Henrik managing out there?

I still don't get the Ameobi thing. Bar one or two games, he was poor last season I believe, something which has been a pattern throughout his career. I'd be happy to see him go.

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

Oztumer is the sort of guy I've been hoping we'd sign for some time - a lower league player we can develop. I can't see 3 teams weaker than us in this season's Championship so we're going to have to find a couple of game changers if we're going to pitch for lower mid table. History suggests that the...
