Re: Zeros and Villans: Aston Villa (A) 30/9/17
What has happened to Beevers? He started the season badly and has just got worse. Weird. Thought he was one of our, if not the, best player's from last season. Got the yips or what.

A morale boosting 1-1 please. Otherwise a fortnight's worth of heavy hubris in store

I'm rather optimistically going to say I hear some encouraging signs from this performance. Not the embarrassment we were expecting and bugger all in the way of luck. Actually feeling a bit sorry for the players (as well as my bwfc self).

Re: Should Phil Parkinson be sacked?
It's a cautious no from me atm. What I can't get with is the idea that we'll get relegated and somehow come back stronger. There's no evidence for this whatsoever. For me, we were lucky to get promoted out of that swamp -- hitting a lucky winning streak in the final furlong, when teams around us wen...

Re: A visit from the Pride without Prejudice....
Us - One shot on target = one goal
Them - Two shots on target = two goals
Presumably not quite as close as that though then?

Re: A visit from the Pride without Prejudice....
I also managed to miss Birmingham game as there was no thread on't 'TRotters'. But, breaking with tradition ain't necessarily a bad thing. We have a new(?) 'match thread' forum... I don't have a problem retraining my brain to go there if that's what our resident web-guru (s) prefer? My tuppence anyh...

Re: Commencing countdown, engines on (5, 4, 3 ...) - Leeds Utd (h) 06/08/17
Well, that was a useful reality check... Agree with the general vibe but have to say thought Beevers distribution very poor yesterday, so much wasted ball from the back (yes, I get the lack of options available). We were poor all round - seemed too repectful and then shellshocked. Positives re injur...

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017
“Welcome Jim anyway. And an excellent name." Thanks LE, great to be here and finally peeping my head above the parapet. Used to idolize ol' Seamus:), yet have no memory of who his understudy was. Positive that no one feels a.n.other keeper is any kind if priority atm. They both take roughly equal am...

"Parky said when Clough left he signed at Forest for 'life changing wages'. He's not coming back here." Thanks for the info, didn't know that - bang goes that one then, ho hum Apologies Bruce, no offence meant :D Slightly alarming that I'm lining up with PT already :P (but yeah F*** 'Em) Agreed that...

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017
Thanks BWFCi. Makes me feel old that the vehemence with BR seems more tempered these days (sigh). Be the perfect end to a marvellous season if they drop. Maybe depends which end of Bolton you're from (Tonge Fold & Bradshaw back in th'day). Admit I can't get as worked up about the pie-eaters. Otherwi...

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017
Hi all, Loooong-time lurker, 1st post, be gentle:) At the risk of provoking much ire, I'm really surprised at a name no-one's mentioned yet... The only silver lining I can feel about Bburn not going down (and it's slim at that), is that we could get Clough back from Forest if they go down. He's not ...
