Re: Visit of the Valiants. Port Vale Home...29th Oct.
All that got forgotten and lumped in with the anger over the B-team thing. I'm perhaps in the minority that I'd like to see the top clubs' best kids compete – in a cup, not a league - with grown men; I don't always agree with Greg Dyke but he's right that the continuing development of 18-to-23...

How about comparing Madine to SKD? I'm not sure which season you'd pick though.bristol_Wanderer3 wrote:Comparing Madine with Josh Morris, who is a wide player, is ridiculous. Compare Madine with Paddy Madden to get a fairer picture, but even then the team styles are different.

Clough could have had 4, and Proctor should have scored.. could have been 5-0! Always liked Danns... what a pass! What the pundits were saying about Madine pressing high up the pitch, then the team getting behind the ball and pressing deeper down the pitch wasn't that visible to me on TV but it soun...

That was streamed live on Twitter! NFL game from Twickenham today on BBC. There seems to be a lot of free-to-air NFL in the UK these days.KeyserSoze wrote:The same Chargers who now beat Denver last night. NFL is weird.

First game of the season for me and my son. I am hoping for some entertainment and the odd Bolton goal for my sons sake. He is only 8 and started watching properly in the Feedman era. He has had a lot to suffer in such a short time. Although his support has unwavered during this time, I'm not sure ...

Re: Clubs fight back at crazy Football League proposals
8. If the introduction of an additional division excluded Premier League 'B teams' and Premier League U23 Teams, would you support the idea? No Is it supposed to be excluded or included? My red line in the sand is first teams playing against reserves! I either want to watch reserves or I want to wa...

Re: Clubs fight back at crazy Football League proposals
You're not simply talking about ownership, you're talking about us becoming a reserve outfit for a rich club so that they can give their stockpile of players some competitive football. Everything about Bolton Wanderers would be about what suits the latest greatest manager of Real Madrid. His player...

Re: Clubs fight back at crazy Football League proposals
It's just owners. I'm not sure any of the current owners are from Bolton. They seem to be from down south. If you're going to have owners from other parts of the country and international owners, why not have international owners who also own other teams in other leagues? I've not been following tha...

Re: Clubs fight back at crazy Football League proposals
I don't have an issue with a Man City buying a much smaller club(s) and using it/them as development/reserve side(s). Yeah, fcuk the history of the club. You telling me you'd be fine with it if we became Man Utd reserves? If the rich clubs stopped stockpiling players then they wouldn't need fcuk th...

San Diego Chargers!
I've said before that they're quite similar to the Wanderers. There was drama recently when the owner threatened to move them to Los Angeles, that was at a similar kind of time to the Wanderers getting taken over.

Re: Clubs fight back at crazy Football League proposals
Looks like a convoluted way of getting Premiership reserve teams into the league to me. Tossers. Absolutely, unequivocally 'this' I don't have an issue with a Man City buying a much smaller club(s) and using it/them as development/reserve side(s). This is what happens in baseball and I'd be ok with...

When he got the England job I was thinking he'd be able to add a couple of chapters on and re-package.. or just write a new book. I'd be disappointed if he wasn't maximising the potential earnings.

Re: Contract expiry
Last time we've seen Mavies play at the Macron? I like the idea of a system being bigger than the sum of the parts. If everyone was on loan or on 1 or 2 year contracts we wouldn't keep having to pay players off. As long as the players on the books can play the system the manager wants it's all good....

Re: Blades to boycott over ridiculous ticket prices!
If you set a standard price, then when nobody turns up you drop it to buttons, ST holders complain - and understandably so, as they're the ones who committed first and hardest. In a market of elastic demand, it makes complete sense to me to have grades (and flexibility within them). I'd argue the t...

Re: Blades to boycott over ridiculous ticket prices!
Went to the Emirates back when Elmander scored and it was 1-1 at half time. Bouncy seats, good players, not that long ago (2010) and it was £33. The same season I paid £31 for a home game against Everton on smaller, less bouncy seats... but it was £15 against Blackburn. I guess prices haven't change...

It's amazing to me that people seem to think the NHS will be better off after #Brexit.
No-one can tell them they're wrong without being a sore loser.
I hope they're right and they're able to see a doctor quicker and for free in the future.
