Totally different though, in that Allardyce had taken us from near the bottom of the championship to the premiership despite losing virtually an entire side Coyle kept Burnley up in his first season and got them promoted the season after, despite them having one of the lowest budgets in the Champio...

Ricketts was awful but it's a bit harsh on one of the players who generally does not let us down. However, Coyle said the same about this 'good start' and I'm mystified what they were watching. We never had real control, and created the only real chance on a break from their corner. We did get worse...

If we can keep a clean sheet and score one or two and show some brightness that willbe great. That will be a start. I honestly dont think we can be as bad as Saturday. However a major major improvement will be required from that performance if we are to get anywhere this season.

The fans made their views clear about Megson. So far Coyle hasn't had that sort of abuse. That suggests that the opinions posted by a relatively small number on message boards aren't shared by the majority.
