Like that screen shot. A lot.
And for all the perennial nay-sayers out there, just take a look at from 26th Sept onwards - thats 10 wins out of 11.
Not bad for a team that doesn't have the bottle to challenge for promotion (and yes, I know a few of these were cup wins....)

Re: Where no seagulls fly...Home to Blackpool Sat 11th Nov, 1500 hrs.
Superb performance and result today. I had a bad feeling about it going into the game - sadly with every win, the likelihood of slipping up next match increases, and with the massive crowd I felt this would be when we did slip up. Blackpool are a quality team but overall I think we just about shaded...

Re: No Gooseberries at Shrewbury. Away to Shrewsbury Tuesday 7th Nov 7-45.
Appart from the one spring that I stupidly broke mid 1st half was the couch comfortable for everyone? Certainly was DJB, top man. Just 3 points behind 1st and level on points with 2nd who’ve just lost their manager, things aren’t looking too bad. Really odd to think just a few weeks ago internet se...

All the warning signs there but it’s a crucial game. Have to prove we can do it in these games.

Re: An Athletic sprint down the Valley: V Charlton away 28th Oct. 3-0'clock.
Would've been nice to have gone 2nd in the league, but Oxford's late equaliser put pay to that one. Yeah, but please don't forget: according to some (who incidentally go very quiet when we do well ...) we"re a weak, leaderless, bunch of shirkers who can't be arsed and are nowhere near threatening t...

Good to hear.
Despite protestations by some on here that our recruitment is poor, I'd say he was a hell of a find: minimising the missing of Bradley, fit as a future, and able to operate in both sides...

Re: Wycombe and we go: Away vs Wycombe (Tues 24th October 19:45)
Which is fine, but there is another team involved. One who has probably had an absolute rocket put up them at half time for being 2 nil down, so come out all guns blazing and making it far harder for us to press on and get that 3rd goal....

So hang on a minute. We've just won twice in 4 days. 5 out of the last 6. We're 4th, and win our game in hand we potentially go 2nd. We're the 2nd most prolific team in the league.
And we're still whinging, complaining, criticising and fault-finding????
Jesus wept.....

Re: Wycombe and we go: Away vs Wycombe (Tues 24th October 19:45)
Sadly though - most football stadia tend to be filled with the great unwashed underbelly of society. It's not nice to say I know, but when I weigh up the amount of sheer stupidity I hear on a match day compared to reasoned content, there is a clear winner. What most of the stadium therefore demands ...

Re: Sole destroying: Northampton home Sat 21/10 15:00
Well, we won but it's a bit concerning we can only seemingly play for one half. Our fast starts doing heavy lifting at the moment. And the problem is? Starting fast and finishing slow,- as long as we still win - achieves exactly the same as starting slow and finishing fast, or playing the whole gam...

And I, for one, would argue that "nothing" should at the very least include a win, 3 points, no injuries, climbing the table.

Re: Tonight's Football
I don't think it matters too much how England look in qualifying - nor even necessarily how good a team we have (though clearly it matters) the thing is whether they have the mentality and ability to get over the line in major competition. Its an intangible thing almost. Italy weren't better than u...

Re: Jon Dadi….
I actually agree with you both. However, it wasn't idiotic to re-sign him. At the time most people were pleased he'd signed.
It could turn out he's a spent force - and I genuinely hope he isn't - but the decision to sign him again was right at the time based on what everyone knew then

Isn't that the whole point though? Lack of judgement called out by non professionals? ie they are the professionals and the experts, so their judgement surely counts more? I know in my job I've made great calls and equally bad calls, but very rarely I have taken counsel from a load of lay people to ...
