Re: Hanging on, January Transfer Window thread 2017
It's alright everyone harping on about Clough, but what about it from his point of view? He's in a league he consistently gets the crap kicked out of him, he's really not physical enough and (I'd assume) there'll be a decent wage rise for him. He might have wanted to go? He's obviously a talent but ...

Re: Pigs might fly...Charlton (h) 28th Jan 2017
I think some of you might be on the wrong forum here. This is one for Bolton isn't it? The team under a transfer embargo, not a pot to p*ss in and was about 30 minutes from going bust last year? Shock/horror Madine isn't fantastic. If he was any good he wouldn't be here. Parky isn't the world's grea...

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )
Coventry is the real reference point in terms of what disasters can happen once you sell your stadium. Essentially expensive tenancy with loss of income from stadium related activities, declining business means selling off more assets and lower and lower budget to spend on the football side. A deat...

Re: Hanging on, January Transfer Window thread 2017
He's pretty much the same height as Kevin Keegan, and he did alright out of it. Clough's problem is that he always needs a controlling touch. The higher up the leagues you go the less of an opportunity you get to take that touch. It's why nobody ever came in for Andy Walker. And that is an actual f...

Re: Hanging on, January Transfer Window thread 2017
Well, I guess both would only be till the end of the season on loan. And the Clough money would help cover enough of their wages. I agree in terms of the short term issue. However, I feel promotion has to be the aim now. And I guess we just have to try and maximise what we can do. Hypothetical as I...

Re: Why, I'll Ride Naked Through the Streets Coventry (A) 2/
Parkinson praised the supporters after the Scunny game, but today many around me were a disgrace, I thought. Booing the players off at half time? I mean really? And booing one of our own whilst he's out on the pitch is utterly unacceptable. Yes, I know that they've paid their money and all of that ...

Re: Contract expiry
Don't we think that ship has sailed really? How long has he been here (Is it around 5 years?) and what has he actually done? If he was on £100 a week it'd still be wasted as he'd never play. I don't rate him in the slightest as a footballer, but he's had awful luck with injuries and I think this cou...

Re: Contract expiry
Vela is showing how you play that attacking midfield role. Mark Davies simply wouldn't survive doing half what Vela does. Plus Vela has developed an end product well beyond Davies'. I wouldn't bother even entertaining the thought of having Davies next season. Not worth anything whatsoever. Plus Ame...

Re: Pratley
I'm hoping he might be a plus to the side. Vela looks so much better now he's been pushed further up the park and obviously, he's scoring quite regularly too. Wasn't that Pratley's position when we got him from Swansea? They seemed to rate him pretty highly. But, he might be crap again. I've never s...

Re: They're not real lions, they're Dogs - Millwall (H) 19/1
Interviewed Iffy a few times - nice bloke. He went on to manage Ethiopia, which made for some interesting cows-on-the-pitch anecdotes. Bruce: I'm trying to imagine Tony Philliskirk scoring 20 goals as a solo striker in this system, and I'm struggling: we'd struggle to get the penetration needed to ...

https://t.co/IyabWdgfhG Is that one of our yoof? Looks like Lostock but I'm not 100% It's Samizadeh. Tricky little bugger isn't he? Haven't they won their last five on the trot or something?
I don't think we'll get pasted, i just think we'll struggle.
We need someone to start hitting the back of the net.
