I think we'll have to be patient, but we should have enough impetus and will to win the game. Just don't go behind!!

It was certainly warranting of a second yellow that piss-take. Refs aren't bothered though. They're often not quite fit enough for the rigors of the modern game and as a result, are very happy for it to be slowed down

Re: Twixt Cups and Lips. Home to Shrewbury Town, Tuesday Apr 16th 7-45.
Whilst we should win tomorrow, I don’t think it’s a foregone conclusion. I’d be slightly concerned about a mental hangover from the weekend given we likely cost ourselves the chance of the automatics. Anyway, I’d be tempted to make a few personnel changes to avoid overworking some key players ahead...

^ :-D Without wanting to sound unduly harsh, I do think Dan may develop into an ok player who will have his moments for us, but he was out of form and isn't going to have gotten any better while he was out with a torn hamstring.. Who knows, maybe with some good backing from the fans he might find so...

I’m genuinely interested to know how confident Insano is feeling about this one, so if you’re reading this, mate, please get your account reinstated. Agreed.. I'm confident about this one. Think we'll be bang up for it and if they're already planning their night out after the game, as is often the ...

Re: The Nostradamus file....
I do wonder however how much the timing of games impacts the opposition. Derby play Wednesday and Saturday, which means that they could be feeling further ahead than they actually are should they win on Wednesday. Points in the bag vs games in hand, innit. It all levels up a week tomorrow when we h...

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign
They have 4 chances to do that though. They can play and be relatively relaxed. Will they match our intensity if we get into them early? Could work either way. Portsmouth don't struggle with intensity. If anything, we'd have to match theirs. Not vice-versa They go down a LOT. All over the pitch. I ...

Derby will beat Orient this Saturday but they’ll drop points at Cambridge the week afterTonyDomingos wrote: ↑Wed Apr 10, 2024 9:45 pmWe have a chance, but, realistically, will require 4 wins, including Pompey & Posh. That's a tough ask.

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign
Wycombe had the better of that second half and Derby’s keeper made a couple of crucial saves.
We’ll take that though. Back in our hands if we win Saturday. Beat Pompey on Saturday and I’m confident we’ll have it wrapped up by 5pm on the 21st

Wycombe all over the show defensively. Derby should really be a couple of goals up, in what has been a fairly poor first half

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign
Cant see Derby dropping anymore points. Thought Wycombe away for them would be our best bet, but with them losing the final, it will be hard for them to pick themselves up having nothing to play for now. Arguably our best bet is for them to drop points against Leyton Orient or Wycombe. Trouble is, ...

Cameron Jerome might just go down in Bolton folklore! What a cameo.
Not much to say about the game other than we didn’t play particularly well. But also didnt particularly look like we wouldn’t win, once we got ahead.
Lovely finish by the Collins.

She’s got a nasty gash
On her shin. Where she went off and presumably had a couple of stitches before coming back on to score the opener.

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign
I am sure the team that beat Reading will turn up. However, Its what the opposition does that will make us look like world beaters or like wankers. Some will see the Derby vs Portsmouth game and say.. hey, how on earth are those teams ahead of us? We are better than they are based on how they look....
