Absolute farce - give him less than a season to turn it around and then sack him. Shinawatra obviously doesn't know how shite City were last year and how massive a task it is to turn them into European qualifiers (or thereabouts). Sven's a top manager and has done a great job for me, if Benitez wer...

I'd like to punch the following just for starters....... Nick Grimshaw (T4 & Radio1 presenter) – utter tool. Clearly foisted into the celebrity spotlight for no other reason than he happens to hit three core demographics that suit the cultural zeitgeist amongst Islington TV execs – a bit sort of in...

Because he's been superb for 35 league games, not 5 Aye, that's because he's played thirty-five league games and not five. :| In that case I'll put Bojinov in my team too, he's good! And what about Gary Neville? He might play a couple of games Seriously though, it's not about talent as such, it's a...

Why do so many prefer James over our own Ahi Al-Habsi, even with a defence of your choice in front of him? Because he's been superb for 35 league games, not 5 Aye, that's because he's played thirty-five league games and not five. :| In that case I'll put Bojinov in my team too, he's good! And what ...

Much more erudite response there, Mummy. I'm at ease now. I recall you mounting several articulate and passionate defences of Thatcher. Same deal, perhaps. Where I'm not at ease is that, to appease the Republican right wing (the one that thinks McCain is a pinko pussy), it's quite likely that they'...

Didnt understand a word of that. Who's winning? Still Obama, but it is getting tighter since Pennsylvania. Mummy's wish for another Republican president is incomprehensible. Being of a conservative disposition is fine, but the US (and the world) desperately need a change. Why? Increasing US Poverty...

So... a couple of months have trundled by... and I've started to follow things more closely..... it is now a case of Hillary hanging on, but with Obama unlikely to be able to put her away until June at the earliest. I really feel that there are so few swing voters (even fewer than normal, as Americ...

Andy Gray ruins my enjoyment of football. I cannot watch what must be surely one of the games of the season because it means that I have to listen to that complete and utter wanker remarking on how a decent strike, something that I'm perfectly capable of judging for myself is a "Good hit". c*nt. Th...

I thought he refereed pretty well to be honest. He was consistent which is what you want. I cite the scything of Kuyt up into the air with a flying karate attack that both the ref and the linesman (who was stood four feet away), allowed to go by. That and a few "pretends" by both sides, where he was...

Still not sure where the ref got five minutes from. Me either, but then his performance was 'puzzling' throughout. I thought he refereed pretty well to be honest. He was consistent which is what you want. He added 4 minutes on at the end of the game. Surely thats not a massive shock? Most games see...

In a tight game an equaliser is always possible at 1-0. Thats football. We mullered Pompey and lost 1-0. Chelsea were slightly lucky, but equally had Malouda and Lampard been a little sharper they'd have scored a couple of times in the second half. Not to mention Cole's two great chances in the first.

About as good as it gets when you're not watching Bolton is seeing Liverpool concede a last minute own goal in front of the kop. Really like how Riise was able to barge Drogba in the back blatantly but according to the "unbiased" *cough* commentary that was "no contact". However, its fine for Liverp...

Tomorrow, after an evening with Mr Lloyd Cole, we're off to the Olive Press on Nelson's Square. Narr then, I've heard differing reports about this place so has anyone been recently? Went to Heathcotes place in Manchester a few weeks ago and it was decent enough without being remarkable. At the risk...

It's like this myth of 'Arry being a top manager that the meeejaaarrrrr perpetuate. Would like to see him produce that team without spending nigh on £100 million squid. Corrupt shithouse. But being fair, many have had that to spend and not done as well as Redknapp! Redknapp is a candidate for most ...
