It is destroying the competition.

The sooner that we revert to a situation where clubs must work with the money they generate through business activity, not through donations, the better IMO.

Did anyone go to Farny Grammar in the 80s - and if so ever fail to do their English homework for Mr Stephens? The guy in the article sounds tame by comparison. Didn't go to Farnworth Grammar but Mr Stephens moved to Little Lever School when they closed the Grammar down and I had the pleasure there....

Anyone think Rooney's goal was a foul?

He kicked the ball cleanly but from behind Cole and by kicking through Coles legs. Isn't this a tackle from behind?

Just seen some of the comments on Grayson on the BBC site. Those contributing are prime examples of why Leeds are not liked.

Hope Grayson turns down Leeds and stays at Blackpool.

I was particularly interested in this quote from his teleconference: "Six months ago it was a case of speaking with John Williams, going home and talking to my better half," he said. "After 15 years straight managing and coaching I decided it was too early to jump back into the mainstream." During n...

I can't understand why most commentators assume Allardyce is the best man to save Sunderland from relegation. His MO is to take a huge backroom staff and make the players in part accoutable to some of those staff, and play direct football with an emphasis on defence and nullifying the opposition. Th...

Doesn't do humble does he?

Everything that went well was down to him.

Everything that didn't was down to lack of investment.

Interesting to hear a bit of freudian slip when he referred to Bolton as "we". I still think we are the club he has most passion and feeling for.

Well, at least we can put the "it's not about race" nonsense to bed now..... this kind of thing has been non-stop since he actually won. Yeah - well given their history race has to be the biggest talking point of this election, and what differentiates it from previous elections. I watched the BBC c...

As someone who is completely uneducated on this subject, what has Obama actually done anything to justify his new found position as the re-incarnation of Christ and the saviour of the world? Wish him luck obviously. I'm not sure how this is a signal for the end of racism though, being as i'd guess ...

Obama did it :) This is a great day for the world! The world has an intelligent and articulate leader, who ahead of his time, has achieved something that America was barely ready for. Black Americans have the inspiration they so badly need. It is the beginning of the end of mindless bigotry and rac...

Well, I genuinely hope Obama turns out to be the man the world thinks he is. He's certainly got the job at a difficult time . I suspect that's the same with most changes of Government. People will often retain the status quo if they're not really felling the pinch. I'm still not convinced that most...

Awww - has somebody tackled one of Arsene's boys?? Jeez - When they had Viera, Sol Campbell and Keown they didn't half dish it out. Short memory has Mr Wenger. Also, if it is true there is money available for Wenger to spend on top players, and he hasn't done so, then is he under pressure? The...

Which is three less than us, or weren't you at the Spurs game. Hull took their game to Old Trafford on Saturday and put 3 past them. I'd have Browny back like a shot. I agree. I have been impressed with Browny this season - he looks every inch a Prem manager, and his team does seem to have options ...

Re: The Wonderful Stoke - Playing to their Strengths

anyone else a bit bored of Stoke having their cock sucked by the masses? Just cos they have someone with a long throw. Wenger was loving em for "playing to their strengths" and MOTD were creaming over them. Somebody please tell me what is the difference between this and what we have been villified ...

Their CL spot is under serious threat this year I feel - and Villa seem to be the only ones showing any real interest in it.
