Re: Vale of tiers: Port Vale (A), Division Three, Sat 30 Sep @ 3pm
Great performance over all. First half it's like watching city, PV couldn't get near us, then that second half they pressed us and we just can't deal with it. We couldn't string five passes together. It seems like this is our major problem encapsulated in one game, if teams don't/can't press us we p...

Re: Vale of tiers: Port Vale (A), Division Three, Sat 30 Sep @ 3pm
We are now on the cusp of must win territory, if we lose pace with the top teams it'll be too difficult to catch up. Assuming the autos are roughly 2ppg if we fall 6 points behind we have to average 2.5ppg for twelve games to catch up, that's not happening, not with this squad. To go up in the autos...

Does anyone know what was on Dan's t-shirt? Free Nelson Mandela or something?

What can you take from trouncing a team much weaker than you? Despite his goals Dan didn't really impress me much, hopefully it boosts his confidence and he can start to perform at league 1 level, seems unlikely. Sheehan was classy but I'm not really arsed how he performs in these games he was abysm...

Re: Posh do or dogs dinner? Bolton v Peterborough Sat 23rd Sept - 3pm
Another dreadful performance, for all the talk of our strikers not being up to much it was the midfield that let us down, again. Dempsey crap as usual, Sheehan anonymous as usual, the pair of them are so fecking unfit/lazy it's painful to watch. IE should have put Morley on for Sheehan after 5mins, ...

Re: Burn after Reading. Reading (A) League 1. Saturday 16th September 2023. 3pm KO
You can't win games if you need 10+ big chances to score. Reading were so much more up for this than we were, it was awful. They only have two good players yet outplayed and outfought us, sickening. The only positives I can see are a complete 10/10 for Thomasson today, he just gets better with every...

Could have put a £1000 pound on that that sending off.

Re: Burn after Reading. Reading (A) League 1. Saturday 16th September 2023. 3pm KO
Jesus wept. Charles going down so often that the refs are actively penalising him for any 50-50. Did the ref have some money on early bookings? Strange that he gave out so many early on and hasn't given out anything similar throughout the match. It's simple Bolton foul free kick and yellow card, re...

Re: Burn after Reading. Reading (A) League 1. Saturday 16th September 2023. 3pm KO
Weird game, reading the better team for the most part yet on clear chances we should be about 4 up. We've not been able to dominate the ball like we normally do but we've hit them on the break over and over. Adeboyejo has been outstanding but both he and Charles need to learn to hit the fecking ball...

Re: When is a Derby not a Derby? Home v The Rams Sept 2nd, 3-o'clock.
Apparently a video has emerged on social media of Evatt showing off an appendage. He sounds like the victim here, actually. It's supposedly a private video that someone has leaked - which would make him the victim of revenge porn. I see. Makes you wonder who shares this stuff, like who tf wants to ...

Oh dear! Is this in reference to the video that has surfaced?? Crikey. I wonder if Sharon will bail him out of this one, too :? I haven't seen a video or anything or even knew what was happening it was just in reference to a load of 'oh god what has happened now' things on twitter. I assumed a play...

Re: When is a Derby not a Derby? Home v The Rams Sept 2nd, 3-o'clock.
Looks like we did have rub of the green yesterday as their keeper was wrongly sent off looking at replays. Probably about time to be honest. Keeper blocks a shot onto their player as far as I can tell from the replays. He was sent off for a handball but replays shows it hit him in the chest. It loo...

Really good performance, back to the way we looked at the start of the season. We look a level above. Derby can't get near us, except they're very dangerous from set pieces so annoyingly this can go either way. Difficult to square this performance with the Wigan one but hey ho.

Keeper is poor, good shot stopper but he's got nothing else. Iredale is shit, I thought he was decent before his injury but unless he dramatically improves he's just awful. Both fullbacks are exceptionally average, we're asking the world of them and neither can deliver anything close. Dempsey back t...

And also, whether sixth choice in a linear way or whatever, it's clear he's not first choice for Plan A. At the moment he's only going to stay games in significant circumstances that suit his skill set. The aim for him now has to be to develop save perform so that he's in Plan A and it's one of the...

Re: North by North West..Bolton v Fleetwood Tues 15th Aug 7-45.
If Cogley starts he's essentially super-human and fair play to him. I'd probably look at starting Jones and Ashworth as the wingbacks. We need to stop with this idea that you can play centre halves at wing back especially against Fleetwood at home. Sadlier and John and if Evatt won’t play them then...
