Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )
I should add that I've been relatively happy with Ken in charge up to now, it's just the Sports Shield BWFC debts being nothing to do with the football club bit that confuses me.

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )
Isn't Sports Shield BWFC the company that was set up to purchase and then own Bolton Wanderers Football Club Limited? If it is, and there are debts owed by, or charges against, that company, then doesn't it follow that there are then, in effect, debts owed by, or charges against, Bolton Wanderers Fo...

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017
A rudimentary internet search finds that he has a heart condition that prevented his last proposed transfer from going through, and that he was facing early retirement as a result. That was almost a year ago and there's been no update. It's a shame for him but I doubt that we're going to be making a...

Re: Liam Lindsay
Its obvious that you will bid for him though he is a cracking player Bet your scouts watched him against us Eight goals from CB this year as well Who ever gets him has won a watch And if he is clever would go somewhere he will play Better chance playing with you guys no disrespect than say with Lee...

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017
How long is Beevers' contract by the way? I don't want to dish out long contracts, but I'd be looking at tying him up for another year or two with how he's performed. He has another twelve months left and I too would offer him at the very least a further twelve-month extension. He's playing well, i...

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017
Norwich are set to release 7 players. Wonder if we'll be in for any of them. Doubt it. Most are overpaid and over the hill. Kyle Lafferty had his uses for Burnley a decade ago and has had some good games up top for Norn Iron, but since returning from his tour around Rangers, Sion and Palermo he's s...

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017
Ameobi supposedly earns (pre-tax) £16k per week. Newcastle offered him a deal on massively reduced terms which he rejected. Rules usually state that players under 23 are due compo to their parent clubs if they're offered a deal but leave on a free, but cant see anything that sates owt about a 'deri...

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017
If we finish 4th from bottom next season that'll do me. If we can establish ourselves as a championship club we will be very attractive for a big money foreign takeover in my view. This is also where I'm at. If I happen to be wrong and we finish in the top half then I'd be delighted, however I just...

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017
Chelsea seem to dominate youth team football at the moment so maybe there is young creative talent there or from other top clubs academies. These kind of players have been crucial to Huddersfield's, Reading's promotion push and Bristol City's survival this season. Perhaps we could finally cash in t...

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017
IMO in the championship we need players better than Ameobi, I'd be disappointed if we went back in for him. It depends on what your expectations are. In my view, the gulf in quality between the top of League One and the bottom of the Championship is even wider than the one between the top of the Ch...

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017
Sammy Ameobi will be a free agent when the transfer window opens. I haven't seen it reported anywhere that we'd actually make a move for him but, given his previous history with us, I wouldn't be shocked if we did. Is he good enough to have a similar impact at a higher level?

Re: Top Moment of Season
For me, it was probably the win away at Fleetwood. They were on a hell of a run and we were out of form, yet we won it relatively comfortably and it was the catalyst for the form that saw us promoted. I dread to think where we'd be now if we'd lost.

Money. And lots of it.
Is there any truth in the rumor that KA has called a press conference for tomorrow morning?

Yes indeed! I'd take it now, though I shudder to think what state my fingernails would be in.
