Kinnel Demps.

Chill man.
Half expecting the ref to make it a second red, not that it warranted it mind.

I wonder if he'll even it up. I'm sure another slight infringement from Kioso might do the job.

Re: Posh do or dogs dinner? Bolton v Peterborough Sat 23rd Sept - 3pm

Thomason to go as part of the centre halves?
Us to go 4 at the back instead of the 3 with 2 wing backs?

Perhaps we'll go with Adeboyejo deeper as CAM and Thomason in place of Jones.

I’m not sure the ref has that wrong

High enough to be dangerous. Can understand why he's been sent off given the rolling about the player's done (understandably so). Looked sore.

Re: Posh do or dogs dinner? Bolton v Peterborough Sat 23rd Sept - 3pm

Fkin knew it with this ref. 4 red cards in 5 games against us. What a prick. It was always a matter of who, not if. Can't give this ref any firepower.

He's done similar with Burton. Maybe he just doesn't like clubs beginning with B and ending with 'ton.

Ah well.

Game over.

Edit:

*on.
That only works after the N'lundulu and Jerome subs have been made.

Been impressed with that Ricky Jade-Jones and Poku from their side. Rapid.

Re: Posh do or dogs dinner? Bolton v Peterborough Sat 23rd Sept - 3pm

Looked like that should've been a penalty from initial viewing. Had it not been Kioso they'd probably have got the pen. Well, for all those calling for us to sign JCH in the off season. It would've stopped that goal. Iredale getting out muscled and wrong side of him while Forrester jumping under it....

Blackpool 3-0 up over Reading. A case of what could've been for us last week had we taken our chances.

Get some shots off, chaps.
We've stopped the barrage of Peterborough attacks though and seemed to have gotten a foothold in the game. Not that we're effective at getting shots off mind, but it does seem like an improvement.

Re: Posh do or dogs dinner? Bolton v Peterborough Sat 23rd Sept - 3pm

Is our tackling dirty enough?

We've had both our defenders take in tough bruising efforts, which made me thinking about our efforts. I don't really remember us tackling where the opposition 'cop a sore one'. Different story under Allardyce where it was par for the course with SKD's tackling.

Re: Posh do or dogs dinner? Bolton v Peterborough Sat 23rd Sept - 3pm

Good point Worthy. I suspect that was more of Aimson's desires rather than our willingness to keep him. Still had he been first choice maybe we'd've not seen Forrester signed.

We're looking very suspect defensively.

On the plus side, Thomason's shooting looks miles better lately.

Re: Posh do or dogs dinner? Bolton v Peterborough Sat 23rd Sept - 3pm

A couple of weeks of Santos being out wouldn't be too bad if it wasn't for what's gone on elsewhere. Johnston being injured for the season. MJ Williams being transferred. Toal getting sent off. Iredale with a drop off in form. It's a lot of factors leading into this. I don't rate that back line and ...

Hopefully he's another who holds a grudge given Kioso is their captain! I'd be surprised if Kioso is the captain given he's come on loan, at least according to wikipedia. https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/23802142.ex-bolton-wanderer-peter-kioso-named-peterborough-skipper/ Nice one. Re: Posh do or dogs dinner? Bolton v Peterborough Sat 23rd Sept - 3pm

I do wonder if Thomason has played a few games in training as a covering CB given the number of injuries we're starting to accrue, in the same lines of MJ last season. If Rico is injured, and I very much doubt that. It'd be Johnston, Santos and Toal unavailable, so we'd be left with Jones, Forrester...

Re: Posh do or dogs dinner? Bolton v Peterborough Sat 23rd Sept - 3pm

I always fancy Peterborough games to warrant a few goals. Not necessarily in our favour but hardly a 0-0 spectacle to be had. I'm expecting today to be no different. I'm expecting us to struggle today. I wouldn't be surprised if we lost it and had to use the midweek game to get our season back under...

Re: B Team Thread 22/23 Season

I do actually like the fact that we've got a b team, regardless of whether it's successful. It's something that pops up on my twitter feed that's semi interesting at least. I think it'd be nice for the club to turn it into broadcastable events although I suspect the general interest levels won't war...

Re: B Team Thread 22/23 Season

Perhaps we're sending him on loan in order for him to get some game time and a tougher test. I can't imagine the b team is as competitive as tier 5. Does seem a negative career direction but it may just be a case of helping them out while being able to train with our b team like we had with backup g...

Re: Dem Bones, Dem Bones, Dem Bare Bones....

You can’t describe a player who has the worst first touch ever witnessed as ‘skilful’. I just did. Not that i'm expecting you to agree with it, but i've seen him beat a few players with his skill in close quarters. Sadly that doesn't take away from that awful first touch you mentioned. He does stru...

Re: Dem Bones, Dem Bones, Dem Bare Bones....

Steven Battersby has tweeted (Xed? whatever, Elon) some interesting numbers : Interesting stats re "Finishers". Here are the League only goals scored by substitutes during the Ian Evatt era. Remembering it was 3 subs only for 2020-21 & 2021-22, with 5 subs allowed since. 2020-21: Miller 3, Gnahoua ...
