Re: When is a Derby not a Derby? Home v The Rams Sept 2nd, 3-o'clock.
Anyone catch that foul in the opposition half by Santos. Straight into the back of the opposition and pushing them over. More of a physical approach being taken by our own players perhaps?
And then we go and pfaff about at the back and Derby win an unnecessary free kick....

Looks like a horrid knee injury going off how much pain he looks in. So innocuous.

Re: When is a Derby not a Derby? Home v The Rams Sept 2nd, 3-o'clock.
Nice start so far. Lovely to see Toal back in the mix. It's like having the Irish Santos in the squad.
Decent shot by Thomason is the highlight so far. It's what his game is needing, more of that passing it into the net.
Derby seemingly missing a trick by not being as physical as Wigan here.

Re: Snog, Marry, Avoid: Summer 2023 Transfer Window
Two whole weeks? The laying down of markers for some future "I told you so" is as transparent as it is cringe. Equally, I'm sure having looked to sign Wilson and then not got another RWB, I'm sure Evatt is delighted we haven't got one and would have turned Reece James down on a free. I'm not exactl...

Re: Snog, Marry, Avoid: Summer 2023 Transfer Window
Transfer windows are like birthdays and Christmas. You get all excited wondering whats to come and hoping you get something good. The rich kids get all the best presents there are every year. This feels like we've just got rid of a few toys to make room for some new ones only to realise that Santa's...

Re: Snog, Marry, Avoid: Summer 2023 Transfer Window
Emergency goalkeeper signings IIRC can be signed outside the window so I suspect that's the reason we've not seen a fresh goalkeeper coming in. Squad (no particular order) GK (2): Baxter, Coleman CB (8): Jones, Santos, Forrester, Toal, Ashworth, Randell, Iredale, JDC MF (6): Thomason, CMG, Sheehan, ...

Re: Snog, Marry, Avoid: Summer 2023 Transfer Window
Declan John to Salford on loan. John off to Salford on a 6 month loan? That'll take him to March? Odd timing with John I guess. Probably a case of them paying half a years worth of wages and Bolton paying the rest with him being released by ourselves at the end of it, or John sacrificing his wages?...

Re: Snog, Marry, Avoid: Summer 2023 Transfer Window
I don't think there "volumetrically" a problem - we've signed 8? Players. So most folks would likely be happy with none on deadline day, had they all been seen as fixing the "problems" people still perceive exist...but quite a few have come across as "second picks" which I think is adding to the fr...

Re: Snog, Marry, Avoid: Summer 2023 Transfer Window
Yet another depressing transfer deadline day. How about throwing us a bone and signing someone for the B-team at least? I know the club are after doing business in the right manner and signing players with a long term strategy, but for them to come up with nothing on transfer deadline day, and not e...

Re: Snog, Marry, Avoid: Summer 2023 Transfer Window
Acknowledging you're not advocating it, I doubt the return of Mr Crellin would be met with universal acclaim... It'd probably set fans seething as its a sign of clear lack of progression. I was however thinking of a goalkeeper loan signing as one of those that we bring in to just cover the injury a...

Re: When is a Derby not a Derby? Home v The Rams Sept 2nd, 3-o'clock.
This game can fall by the wayside for me. I think it's the first time in the league this season that we can consider ourselves second favourites so if we don't get anything I think that'd be a shame but not season killing. For me it's how we deal with the teams we've not been able to see off previo...

Re: Snog, Marry, Avoid: Summer 2023 Transfer Window
I suspect the vast majority of the acknowledge of poor behaviour from our fans is down to the club and media pointing it out. We're probably not dissimilar from a lot of other teams but at least we're acknowledging it in order to do something about it. Just look at the aftermath of the Morecambe gam...

Hardly surprising we conceded a third. We had to go for it I guess.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Tue Aug 29, 2023 9:49 pmbetter than expected
We’re defeated as soon as we go behind mind - nowts changed on that front.

Played reasonably well. Looked dominant till they scored. We do look a bit porous though and that as a sage near me pointed out is the difference between our starting few games and now. We’ve started to look like conceding. Midfield have looked strong. Charles and CMG show flickers of a partnership...

Positive stuff. Lovely jubbly. Charles signing and scoring bodes really well for the future.
Hopefully we'll be able to see the game out.

They've just wanted to lock in the big games. Don't care about the lower league clearly.
