Re: Pre-season friendlies
If thy are near New England I'll have to go. But I am not flying to Florida again. Something tells me they'll hit up Texas for Holden.

Re: Are we an "unprofessional" professional football club?
I would definitely have Big Sam back. Anyday. Anyone with me?! As I mentioned in the West Ham thread I am sort of hoping they don't go up so Sam gets sacked, setting up a glorious reunion. I was as pissed as anyone over the way he left us but after what's we've gone through since that day, all woul...

Plovdiv at home. I finally got to see them win in Bolton. But that's presonal really. I think the best i ever felt was listening to thumping Ipswich. I really hated them and I guess I should get used to that again. Plovdiv was amazing. I was watching it on a crappy internet stream but Diouf’s goal ...

Re: Doomsday: Stoke away
I knew when they let the first goal stand it wasn't our day. Sad to see it be so poorly officiated, but we left ourselves in that spot. That's what happens to the 18th place team, I bet that there has rarely been a decisive difference to 18th and 17th place.

I'll be watching from home. Great OP. Hopefully i'll hear the away end all game through the tv. Might help calm the nerves. At least it's on the tv, 8 of the 10 games are being shown live here in the states. Still my team no matter what. If it was about glory we'd be wearing read like so many other ...

Re: Desert Island Books.
They do, unfortunately that particular one isn't ! Dean Koontz books as well are good for holidays - maybe not a desert island though :) Haven't read it meself. Read most of Grishams. Steer clear of his "non legal" ones though. Michael Connelly is ace for hols too! I do like Connelly's stuff. Have ...

Re: Desert Island Books.
Surprised no one's mentioned Harry potter. (Or maybe not. I however, love them and they are a great escape) Books are so much harder to quantify than films or music. You tend to revisit them less and they stick with me as part of an era in my life as opposed to continued value. I'd need a Grisham bo...

Hoping the good news continues. The lack of news is good news at this point I suspect.
Will say that I prayed an awful lot more than usual these past days.

This is pretty much the only English recipe you need: http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/stressfreefullenglis_67721" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Chef's top tip: Jazz it up with a couple more rounds of toast and a mug of steaming hot tea. I never miss a chance to get a full english ...

English Recipes
Apologies if this has been done before. I do the cooking in the household and I'd like to try to cook more English meals. I generally find most British stuff here to be Irish or a poor imitation of what I want. When i search online I can't even find a pasty recipe that isnt Cornish. (I can make a dr...
